Strategy Explanation

This TH10 base is built around a compact central core with the Town Hall protected by both Inferno Towers and several tight inner compartments. The main idea is clear: force attackers to commit deep before they can secure the Town Hall, while making it hard to hold a stable path through the middle. The core is surrounded by multiple angled sections rather than one open ring, so troops are more likely to split or stall when they break the first wall layer.

The air defenses are spread across different sides of the base instead of being stacked together, which helps against dragon and lalo-style entries. Wizard Towers and Archer Towers are also spaced well enough that attackers do not get easy value from one push or one spell set. On the ground side, the compartment count matters here. Hog Riders, Bowlers, Valkyries, and GoWiWi-style armies do not get a straight route through the base, and that gives the Infernos more time to work.

Because the outer ring includes a mix of collectors, army buildings, and point defenses, funneling is not completely free. An attacker can still shape the entry, but it takes more commitment than it would against a flatter TH10 design. If this defensive structure fits your current setup, you can use the copy-layout option to place it directly in Clash of Clans.

Strengths

This layout does a good job of protecting key defenses without giving away too much value on the outer edge.

  • Central Town Hall: The Town Hall sits deep enough that securing 2 stars is not automatic.
  • Double Inferno core: The Infernos cover the middle and punish troops that drift inward without support.
  • Good air defense spread: Dragons cannot remove all major air threats from one side.
  • Layered compartments: Ground armies need multiple wall breaks, which slows pace and can break pathing.
  • Balanced side coverage: There is no single side that looks completely empty or soft.

Core Protection

The strongest part of this base is the central block. The Town Hall, Infernos, and nearby high-value defenses are close enough to support each other, but still compartmentalized enough to prevent one easy sweep through the middle. That matters a lot at TH10, where many attacks rely on gaining early core access with heroes, wall breakers, or a jump spell.

If the attacker does not enter the core cleanly, the raid can lose momentum fast. Troops that circle the base instead of stepping inward will leave the Town Hall standing longer than expected.

Anti Air and Dragon Defense

This layout is clearly built with air attacks in mind. The air defenses are not exposed on one edge, and their spread makes it harder for dragons to push through the base in a straight line. The compact center also reduces the chance of easy cleanup once the first layer falls.

Electro Dragon attacks are not a TH10 concern, but regular dragon spam still depends heavily on direct pathing and spell timing. Here, the compartment shape and defense spacing force dragons to move under fire for longer. That gives the Infernos, Archer Towers, and Wizard Towers more time to chip them down.

Ground Attack Pathing

Ground troops will usually have to choose between going around the side compartments or investing heavily to break into the middle. That is useful against spam-heavy TH10 attacks, especially armies that rely on broad deployment and quick collapse through two layers of walls.

Hog Riders can still be dangerous if the attacker removes core threats first, but the defense placement does not give them a perfectly smooth loop. Mixed pathing through separate compartments can cause small delays, and those delays are often enough for splash and point defenses to add value.

Best Use in War Defense

This is the kind of TH10 War Base that works well when you want to make the attacker earn both stars and the triple. It is not built around baiting one specific army only. Instead, it tries to stay solid against common TH10 approaches by protecting the Town Hall, separating air coverage, and denying easy movement through the core.

For regular wars or CWL at TH10, that balance is useful. The base does not rely on gimmicks. It relies on compartment pressure, central damage, and forcing awkward decisions on entry.

Hero and Entry Pressure

The hero positions and nearby defenses help make direct hero dives less comfortable. A King and Queen entry can still get value on one side, but pushing all the way to the Town Hall is not simple without extra support. That is important for anti 2 star value, because many attacks at this level are built around securing the Town Hall first and adjusting for percentage later.

Here, attackers are more likely to spend extra spells or siege-style commitment just to stabilize the middle, which is exactly what a defensive TH10 layout should try to force.
