TH10 Farming Base with Central Town Hall Defense
Latest Reviews
Strategy Explanation
This TH10 base is built around a compact central core with the Town Hall protected by multiple layers of walls and key defenses. The Town Hall sits close to the middle beside heavy point damage, which fits the anti 2 star goal well. Attackers cannot pick it off from one side without first dealing with several compartments, and that usually slows down simple spam attacks that rely on fast access to the core.
For a farming base, the loot is not stacked in one easy area. Gold and elixir storages are spread across different sections, including side compartments and lower inner rings. That makes it harder for a raider to take everything with one clean funnel. Even if one side falls, the rest of the resources are still protected by separate walls and defenses.
The Inferno Towers and core splash coverage work together to punish troops that drift toward the middle. Wizard Towers, Bomb Towers, and other defenses around the ring help wear down support troops before they can fully support heroes in the center. The overall shape also creates awkward turns for ground armies, especially if they do not open enough compartments early.
This layout looks aimed at forcing attackers to choose between loot and the Town Hall instead of getting both efficiently. If the structure fits what you need, you can use the copy-layout option to drop it straight into Clash of Clans.
Strengths
The main strength here is how the base splits value across the map while keeping the Town Hall protected in the middle. It does a good job of making cheap farming hits less efficient and slowing down attacks that want a safe 2 star.
- Central Town Hall is difficult to reach without committing heroes or wall breakers deep into the base.
- Storages are spread out, so attackers cannot grab all major loot from one entry.
- Multiple compartments reduce simple wall-break value and can break up ground troop pathing.
- Core defenses are close enough together to punish troops once they finally enter the middle.
- Outer buildings do not give a very clean funnel into the center, which can cause troops to walk.
Town Hall and Core Protection
The Town Hall placement is the defining feature of this base. It is not offset toward an edge, so attackers must commit to the center if they want the guaranteed star. At TH10, that matters because many armies are strong enough to clear a side compartment but weaker once they hit layered defenses and tighter core coverage. With Infernos and point defenses clustered around the center, heroes entering late will usually take heavy damage before securing the Town Hall.
The Clan Castle is also positioned centrally, which helps prevent easy lure value. That matters in both farming defense and anti 2 star use, since a defending Clan Castle can delay a kill squad and burn time from the attack.
Storage Distribution
This is a practical farming layout because the storages are not overcommitted to one quadrant. There are storages in the upper compartments, side sections, and lower inner compartments, so the attacker has to travel through several defended pockets to get full value. The spread also means a goblin knife style raid has to invest deeper than usual instead of sniping one loaded side.
Because the storages sit behind different wall layers, each one takes separate effort to reach. That is exactly what you want from a TH10 farming base: make every extra bit of loot cost more troops and more time.
Ground Attack Pathing
Ground armies will often have to deal with awkward turns here. The side compartments are wide enough to pull troops around rather than straight through, especially if the funnel is sloppy. Giants, Valkyries, and entry heroes can end up circling compartments before stepping into the core, which reduces pressure on the Town Hall.
Hog attacks may still work if the attacker removes heroes and pathing anchors first, but the compartment structure gives defenses time to chip away while the hogs move from section to section. The more the attack splits, the better this base performs.
Air Attack Considerations
The Air Defenses are spread well enough that a quick all-in air push does not get immediate value everywhere at once. Dragons and Balloons can still push through TH10 bases if the entry is clean, but this layout does not hand over a simple line into the Town Hall. Air troops also have to respect the central defensive concentration, where healers, loons, or dragons start taking stacked damage.
Electro Dragon chain value is not a major concern at TH10 compared to higher levels, but standard dragon pathing still matters. Here, the compartment spacing and central pull can make dragons split if the funnel is not carefully prepared.
Best Use for Farming Defense
This base makes the most sense for players who care more about protecting loot while still making a 2 star harder than usual. It is not built like a pure war base, and that is fine. The value is in forcing inefficient raids: attackers can often get some %
