Aggressive TH9 Defense Coc Layout | Hybrid Dark Barbarian

Strategy Explanation
This TH9 war layout is a compact hexagon with a heavy core. The Town Hall sits dead center with the Clan Castle, two X-Bows, and the Dark Elixir Storage packed around it. An inner ring of Elixir Storages and high-HP buildings wraps the core, forcing attackers to burn time and spells before they can even touch the Town Hall. Wizard Towers are tucked just inside the ring at four quadrants, while Air Defenses form a tight diamond around the core. Mortars, Archer Towers, and Cannons layer the outer ring so troops keep bouncing between compartments instead of pushing straight to 50% and the core.
The walling creates multiple small chambers and thin channels that are perfect for springs and giant bombs. It’s tricky to get clean jumps: a single Jump Spell won’t grant full access, and a second jump or well-timed Wall Breakers are needed to reach the Town Hall. Heroes are positioned on the lower side of the inner ring so that a cheap snipe is unlikely, and CC lures are expensive thanks to the centralized Castle.
Strengths
- Anti 2-Star core: Town Hall, X-Bows, and DE Storage clustered in the middle behind multiple layers and high-HP storages.
- Balanced hybrid defense: Wizard Towers cover hogs/valks and also support air defense; Air Defenses and Sweepers are near the heart of the base so Loons can’t path cleanly.
- Compartment spam: Many small chambers slow queen charges and force extra Wall Breakers or jumps.
- Pathing traps: Narrow channels between defenses create ideal spring and double-giant-bomb spots to punish hog routes.
- Time pressure: Outer buildings are spaced around the rim, stretching cleanup and making late-stage fails common.
Recommended Clan Castle and Traps
- CC: Lava Hound (stalling) or Baby Dragon + Witch + Archers (mixed threat). Both make lures costly.
- Air traps: Place Seeking Air Mines near two opposite Air Defenses; keep Red Mines on likely loon turns just outside Wizard Towers.
- Ground traps: Stack a double-giant-bomb set between a Cannon/Wizard Tower pair on one side and split singles on the opposite; springs in the thin channels.
War Usage Tips
- Set one X-Bow ground and one ground/air depending on scout; switch before each war.
- Rotate hero positions slightly if your clan keeps getting queen-charged from the same side.
- Spread corner Builder Huts if you have them to bleed the final seconds on time.
Scouting Notes for Clanmates
- Expect a late core push; save a rage or poison for CC + core fight.
- Watch for Tesla spots around the Town Hall and between inner storages.
- Plan cleanup early this base punishes slow funnels.
