Strategy Explanation

This TH9 war layout runs a rotated diamond with heavy compartmentalization and a deep Town Hall. The core is a tight box with the Clan Castle and X-Bows covering 360°, while the Town Hall sits just inside the inner ring so it can’t be sniped from any edge. Four Air Defenses are set in a diamond around the core, and you can clearly see Wizard Towers staggered one layer out to punish balloons and hogs after they path inward. Storages are spaced around the outer ring (three elixir storages visible on the right flank) to soak damage and stall time. Point defenses alternate all the way around the perimeter, making it hard to create a clean funnel without committing spells or heroes.

Two Bomb Towers are split to opposite sides and there are obvious 2x4 pockets between defenses where double giant bombs can sit—perfect anti-hog traps. Air Sweepers are aimed on opposite diagonals to shove LavaLoon entries across the base instead of straight at the Town Hall. The Heroes are tucked in toward the middle compartments so Queen Charges need two to three wall breaks or a jump to get meaningful value. Overall, it’s built to trade time for traps, force awkward pathing, and make the second star a grind.

  • Skeleton Traps set to air to slow the kill squad after hounds pop.
  • Spring traps along the narrow channels that lead from perimeter cannons into the Wizard Towers.

Scout Tips for Attackers

  • Open with a 20–25% Queen walk from the lighter side, then jump into the core for CC + one X-Bow. If CC isn’t poison-proof, that’s your window.
  • For air, zap the weaker AD pair and fly from the opposite corner to work with, not against, the Sweepers.
  • For hogs, test for springs and look for the Bomb Tower side; plan heals to cross both DGB pockets.
