Strategy Explanation

This TH9 war base is a compact, multi-ring labyrinth built to slow down kill squads and split pathing for hogs and balloons. The Town Hall sits deep in the core with the Clan Castle nearby, guarded by two X-Bows and a tight network of small compartments. Air Defenses are set in a diamond around the center, while Wizard Towers are staggered on different sides so splash damage is always covering the next layer. Heroes are separated one toward the south side and the other higher up forcing attackers to commit more spells and troops if they want both down.

Mortars anchor the outer ring, and high-HP storages are spread through the middle layers to stall Queen Walks and Valks. Notably, several elixir storages sit outside on the right edge—great in war since they waste time and don’t risk DE. The layout avoids big open zones; instead, it uses narrow alleys and offset defenses to trigger springs and make jump/quake value awkward. It’s a classic anti-3 approach: centralized threat, split heroes, and layered splash.

Strengths

  • Centralized core: Town Hall and Clan Castle are hard to reach without two Jumps or full Quake investment.
  • Air coverage: Four Air Defenses ring the core with X-Bows able to shoot air, creating consistent pressure on LaLoon.
  • Pathing traps ground armies: Many small compartments slow Kill Squads, GoHo, and Valk pushes; springs between short gaps punish hog riders.
  • Split heroes: Queen and King on different sides make it hard to snipe both with a light entry.
  • Wizard Tower stagger: Splash overlaps on hogs/loons as they rotate layers, increasing heal spell pressure.
  • Time tax: Outside collectors and the right-side storages add cleanup pressure and funnel confusion.

Base Breakdown (what you see)

  • Town Hall and CC deep center with two X-Bows covering them.
  • Air Defenses in a tight diamond; Wizard Towers on offset corners of the mid ring.
  • Mortars on the outer layer; Bomb Tower(s) tucked just inside the second ring.
  • Right edge has multiple elixir storages outside the walls to drain time.

Recommended Clan Castle

  • Lava Hound + Archer (pure anti-air, best vs LaLoon/Dragons)
  • Baby Dragon + 2 Witches + Archers (nasty vs kill squads and hogs)
  • Baby Dragon + Valk + Wizards (balanced mix)

Trap Placement Tips

  • Look for two-tile gutters between mid-ring defenses to hide a double giant-bomb option on the southern or eastern lanes.
  • Set Skeleton Traps to air if your clan sees a lot of LaLoon; to ground if hog meta is heavy.
  • Place Seeking Air Mines near the AD opposite your strongest Air Sweeper to punish Queen Charge into LaLo.
  • Cluster Teslas in a mini-farm on one flank of the core to catch heroes and loons off guard.

How It Defends Common TH9 Attacks

  • GoHo/HoBo: Rings force jump usage early; springs in alleys kick hogs; staggered splash strains heals.
  • LaLoon: AD diamond and air-shooting X-Bows keep balloons under fire the whole path.
  • Queen Walk: Spread storages and angled defenses chip the healers and delay the push.

Tuning Tips

  • Set both X-Bows to air and ground.
  • Rotate an Air Sweeper to face your clan’s most common entry side.
  • Swap a Wizard Tower with a Cannon if attackers are sniping splash early from one edge.
