Strategy Explanation

This TH9 war base runs a compact diamond with three wall layers and a high-HP ring protecting the core. The Town Hall sits dead-center with the Clan Castle and both X-Bows, while the next ring spreads all four Elixir Storages and key splash to soak damage and slow pushes. Air Defenses are set in a diamond around the core, each paired with point defenses, and the two Air Sweepers face opposite directions so Dragons and Loons are pushed back as they cross the middle. Heroes are split on opposite flanks in their own compartments, forcing attackers to choose between taking a hero or moving toward the Town Hall rarely both without extra spells.

The outer ring is chopped into many small compartments with Cannons and Archer Towers, plus obvious spring-trap lanes between pairs of defenses. Mortars sit off-center to chip down Witch and Bowler spam before it reaches splash. The result is awkward pathing: ground troops keep turning, Hogs struggle to stay grouped, and air troops get dragged across red mines on the way to the X-Bows.

Strengths

  • Anti-2 star core: TH, CC, and X-Bows are stacked together behind two layers, hard to reach without Jump/Quake investment.
  • Air control: Diamond Air Defense spread, cross-facing Sweepers, and Wizard Towers covering storages punish DragLoon and early LavaLoon.
  • Split heroes: Queen and King on different sides break Queen Walks and delay ability timing.
  • Hog denial: Multi-compartment outer ring and likely 2x2 bomb spots between defenses create double-giant-bomb potential.
  • Time pressure: Corner/edge trash buildings and long pathing make 3 stars tight even after a good start.

Trap Placement Guide

  • Giant Bombs: Slot them between outer Wizard Tower–Cannon/Archer pairs on the left and right edges to catch Hogs after the first heal.
  • Small Bombs: Place at tight wall junctions near the queen side to pop Wall Breakers.
  • Red Air Mines: Chain them between each Air Defense and the core X-Bows, where Loons path after popping an AD.
  • Seeking Air Mines: One near each hero compartment to punish healers on Queen Walks.
  • Teslas: Tuck in the inner ring corners to protect the Town Hall and surprise kill stone-skin tanks.

Defending Clan Castle

Recommended fills: 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Witches + Archers, or 1 Dragon + 2 Loons. Both are hard to poison in the narrow compartments and stall Hog/Lalo timing.

Setup Tips

  • Set one X-Bow Ground and one Ground/Air for mixed pressure.
  • Rotate Sweepers toward the heaviest air side you expect in war.
  • Move one Giant Bomb after each defense to avoid repeat triples from scouts.

Who This Punishes

GoHo, early DragLoon, sloppy Queen charges, and funnel mistakes that split kill squads away from the center. It’s a solid anti-2 and often denies late war cleanups at TH9.
