Strategy Explanation
This TH15 layout uses a diamond-style core with the Town Hall boxed in the middle and several defensive rings forcing attackers to commit early. It is mainly built for war, CWL, and Legend League style defenses where stopping the clean two-star or denying a triple matters more than protecting loose outside buildings. The first layer gives away some percentage, but the important damage is stacked around the center where the Town Hall, high-value defenses, heroes, and traps can punish troops that path too directly.
The base is especially awkward for Electro Dragon and air spam because the main defenses are not packed into one easy chain. Air-targeting buildings are spread across the layout, while the central compartments keep the attacker from getting simple value with one Rage and Freeze push. Ground armies also have to deal with narrow entries and split pathing once they reach the inner diamond.
Strengths
- Strong anti 2-star core: the Town Hall is not sitting on an edge, so attackers need a real plan to secure it.
- Good anti Electro Dragon spacing: the rings and offset buildings reduce easy chain value through the middle.
- Layered compartments: wall breaks and siege pathing are less straightforward than on a simple box base.
- Useful for Legend League: the outside percentage is controlled enough while the core still carries heavy defensive value.
- Balanced coverage: key defenses are spread left and right instead of being stacked on one side.
Boxed Town Hall Pressure
The Town Hall compartment is the main reason this layout works as an anti 2-star base. It sits behind multiple wall layers and is supported by nearby core damage, so a casual hero dive will not usually be enough. Attackers often need to spend a Siege Machine, Warden ability, or a heavy spell investment just to guarantee the Town Hall. That makes the back-end of their attack weaker, which is exactly what you want in war defense.
Anti Electro Dragon Pathing
The base does not offer one clean Electro Dragon lane across the core. The outer buildings are staggered, and the defensive rings create awkward chain angles. An attacker can still use Electro Dragons, but they need careful funneling from both sides or the army can drift around the diamond instead of punching through it. Sweepers, air defenses, and high hitpoint structures combine to slow the push long enough for traps and core defenses to matter.
Core Value Protection
The strongest part of the layout is how it protects value without making the base too easy to funnel. The Town Hall, central defenses, and important splash are not all reachable from one compartment. This makes Flame Flinger, Log Launcher, and hero entries less automatic. Even when one side is cleared, the remaining defenses can still cover the inner approach from a different angle.
Best Use and Copy Notes
This is a good TH15 copy layout if you want one base that can work in war, CWL, and daily Legend hits. After copying, place your strongest defensive Clan Castle setup in it and review trap placement after a few replays. If you are seeing too many Blimp hits from the same side, move seeking air mines and tornado support toward that entry. If ground smash is the issue, adjust small bombs and spring traps around the first wall break zones.
