Strategy Explanation
This TH15 war base uses a diamond-style compartment setup with the Town Hall held in the lower central core rather than sitting on the edge. The main idea is to force attackers to spend a real plan getting into the middle, while the outer defenses and separated boxes pull troops sideways. It is clearly built more for anti 3 star value than simple anti 2 star protection.
The core is layered with high-value defenses around the Town Hall, while the upper and side compartments break the base into awkward lanes. Spam armies can still get percentage, but they do not get one clean straight path through every important building. That matters a lot at TH15, where Electro Titans, Root Riders, Super Bowlers, and air spam all depend on controlled pathing and hero value.
Strengths
- Central Town Hall pressure: The Town Hall is not free from one side and sits behind multiple wall layers, making late ability timing more important.
- Split compartments: The small diamond boxes reduce the chance of a smooth push across the whole base.
- Good anti 3 star shape: The layout gives up some outer buildings, but keeps the important core protected for the second half of the attack.
- Awkward funneling: Outside buildings are spread wide enough to make troops drift if the attacker is careless.
- Balanced coverage: Key defenses are not all stacked in one corner, so attackers cannot remove the base with one simple entry.
Town Hall Core Protection
The strongest part of this layout is the boxed core around the Town Hall. It is not buried so deep that attackers ignore it, but it is protected enough that they usually need a proper investment. The nearby heavy defenses help punish troops that reach the middle without enough spells remaining. This is especially useful against spam attacks that rely on Warden ability to carry everything through the Town Hall blast.
The central structure also makes hero dives less clean. A King or Queen entering from the bottom has to work through multiple compartments before getting full value, while a top-side entry risks leaving the Town Hall for later. That trade-off is exactly what you want from an anti 3 star war base.
Pathing and Compartment Control
The diamond compartment pattern is important here. Troops do not naturally walk in a straight line from one defense to the next. Instead, they are often pulled into side boxes or forced to retarget across walls. This can waste Rage spell value and split a push into smaller groups, which is one of the best ways to stop TH15 smash attacks from snowballing.
Air attacks also have to deal with staggered defensive zones rather than one predictable sweep. Balloons and Dragons can take the outer layer, but keeping them moving toward the core is not automatic. If the attacker misses a funnel building, the army can wrap around and leave the Town Hall standing too long.
Best Use in War and CWL
This base fits best as a TH15 war or CWL anti 3 star layout, especially against players who favor direct spam attacks. It is not trying to hide the Town Hall on an extreme edge or bait a cheap one-star fail. Instead, it asks the attacker to beat the whole layout cleanly, including the core, the side compartments, and the back-end defenses.
If you use the copy layout option, take a minute to match your trap setup to your league. Against air-heavy clans, prioritize black mines near likely blimp and hound paths. Against ground-heavy clans, look for places where spring traps and giant bombs can punish troops moving between the tight compartments.
Copy Notes and Small Adjustments
After copying, keep the main wall structure intact. The value of this base comes from the layered diamond core and the separated defensive boxes. Moving a few traps is fine, but opening walls or shifting core defenses too much can make pathing cleaner for attackers.
For regular war use, this is a solid TH15 anti 3 star base to rotate when you want something compact, symmetrical, and harder to steamroll than a basic ring layout.
