TH14 War Base with Offset Core and Anti 2 Star Setup

Strategy Explanation
This TH14 War Base is built around denying easy percentage and forcing awkward access to the Town Hall. The Town Hall sits high in the layout inside its own compartment, while the core below it is packed tightly with high-value defenses and support structures. That split matters. Attackers can reach the Town Hall from the top side, but committing there does not automatically open the heavy middle section, so getting a safe 2-star without losing momentum looks harder than on a more direct ring base.
The base uses a layered diamond-style structure with multiple small compartments branching out from the center. That tends to break clean pathing for both heroes and smash attacks. The side sections are wide enough to pull troops laterally, and the lower half has extra buildings outside the main defensive shell, which can waste time and create awkward cleanup under war pressure. From the image, this layout looks aimed at making attackers choose between a direct Town Hall line and stronger core value.
Infernos and key defenses are spread through the inner compartments rather than stacked in one obvious spell target. The central block appears dense enough to punish troops that drift inside too early, especially if the funnel is not clean. If the defensive structure suits your current setup, you can use the copy-layout option to load it straight into Clash of Clans.
Strengths
The biggest strength here is how the base separates the Town Hall objective from the rest of the major defensive value. It gives away very little for free and asks the attacker to invest real housing space to secure the second star.
- Town Hall is protected by layers instead of sitting on an exposed edge.
- Central compartments are compact and difficult to open all at once.
- Side lanes are broad enough to create troop drift on both air and ground attacks.
- Defenses are distributed well, which reduces easy spell value.
- Outer trash buildings in the lower half can pressure time in war attacks.
Town Hall Protection
The Town Hall placement is the defining feature of this layout. It sits high enough to tempt a direct entry, but the surrounding compartments mean troops do not naturally continue into the heart of the base. That is exactly what you want from an anti 2-star TH14 base: force the first star and the second star to come from different commitments. Attackers who send too much into the Town Hall can run out of power before reaching the middle, while attackers who play for the core first may leave the Town Hall too late.
Core Pressure and Defensive Value
The center of the base is where the real punishment starts. The inner compartments are tight, and the high-value defenses appear grouped in a way that creates overlapping coverage without offering one huge opening target. This makes the core dangerous for hybrid follow-through, hero dives, and smash troops trying to cut straight across. Once troops step into the middle, they are likely under fire from several angles at once rather than one simple defensive line.
Ground Attack Pathing
Ground armies will have to respect the compartment count here. A simple straight-line push from the bottom looks unreliable because the base widens through the middle and upper sides. Root pathing is not available at TH14, but similar heavy ground plans like Yeti Smash or Pekka-based pushes can still get dragged sideways if the funnel is even slightly off. The side compartments also make it harder for heroes to stay centered unless the attacker invests spells early.
A Queen Charge from one of the upper angles makes the most sense on paper, since it can target the Town Hall and possibly one side of the core. The risk for the attacker is overcommitting the Queen just to secure that first major objective.
Air Attack Considerations
This base is not especially friendly to lazy air spam. The compartment spacing and broad shape limit simple chain value, especially compared with tightly packed box layouts. Electro Dragons may still grab good damage on the outer ring if the funnel is clean, but the internal structure does not look easy to collapse in one sweep. Air attackers will likely want to claim the Town Hall with a blimp or hero support rather than trust a full send through the center.
War Use and Practical Fit
For regular wars and CWL, this layout fits players who want to make the opponent work for a safe two-star instead of defending with a pure bait base. It is especially useful if you face attackers who prefer direct value entries and then rely on heroes to finish the Town Hall later. This design makes that sequence less comfortable. It will not shut down every planned hit, but it does a good job of forcing commitment, splitting objectives, and making careless war attacks look messy.
