TH14 War Base with Anti Electro Dragon Setup

Strategy Explanation
This TH14 war base is built around compartment control and awkward air pathing. The Town Hall sits slightly off-center in the lower-right side of the core instead of being planted dead middle, which matters a lot against air spam. Attackers do not get a clean straight push through the base, and Electro Dragons are more likely to drift around the ring of compartments rather than cut directly across the highest-value defenses.
The layout uses a wide diamond shape with several small and medium compartments feeding into a dense core. Infernos are separated instead of stacked tightly together, and the heavier defenses are spread across different layers. That spacing makes it harder to get easy freeze value on multiple targets at once. The Eagle Artillery is placed away from the Town Hall section, so an attacker has to commit deeper if they want both major targets under control early.
Against Electro Dragons specifically, the base does a solid job of reducing obvious chain lines. Storages and defenses are not packed into one neat block, and the outer ring has enough gaps and staggered placement to interrupt clean bounces. The Sweeper and air-targeting coverage also force less comfortable entry angles than a standard square war base. If this structure fits your current war plan, you can use the copy-layout option to place it directly in Clash of Clans.
Strengths
The strongest part of this layout is how it splits key value across the base while still keeping the core dangerous.
- Offset Town Hall makes full air control less straightforward.
- Broken compartments reduce easy Electro Dragon chains.
- Core defenses are layered, so one spell set does not solve everything.
- Eagle and Town Hall are separated enough to force deeper commitment.
- Air defenses are not clustered, which helps against heavy freeze usage.
- Pathing is slightly uneven, making spam attacks less predictable.
Town Hall Side Pressure
The lower-right side is the most important defensive area because it combines the Town Hall section with dense support around it. This creates a classic war-base decision point: attackers can either commit early to remove the Town Hall and risk losing momentum into the rest of the base, or ignore it for too long and deal with the Town Hall weapon late. That delay is especially useful against Electro Dragons, which are strongest when they can move in a clean, controlled line.
Because the Town Hall is surrounded by layered defenses instead of open space, heroes and balloons supporting the push can get pulled into awkward angles. That often causes the air army to split or lose timing around the core.
Electro Dragon Matchup
This is clearly the main reason to run the layout. The compartment spacing and offset structure work against the usual Electro Dragon plan of wide funnel, straight blimp, then heavy freeze through the middle. There are not many neat building rows that invite repeated chain value, and the core does not offer one central point where everything important can be frozen together.
The attack can still work if the attacker gets a good funnel and lines up the blimp well, but this base does not give that result for free. In war, that kind of extra precision requirement is valuable because it increases the chance of a split, a missed Town Hall timing, or a stalled push around the middle compartments.
Ground Attack Pathing
Ground armies will notice the same issue air troops face: the base does not hand out a simple lane into the core. The compartments create repeated redirection, and troops entering from one side can be pulled across the base instead of driving straight through it. That is useful against smash attacks that rely on staying compact through the center.
The internal structure also means jump and wall-break timing matters. If an attacker misses one key opening, troops may circle the wrong compartment and leave the Town Hall or Eagle standing longer than expected.
Queen Charge Entry Options
A Queen Charge looks most tempting from the right or upper-right side, where the attacker can try to cut into the Town Hall side and remove one layer of core defenses early. That said, the charge does not look automatic. The compartments force commitment, and the Queen can be dragged sideways if the funnel is not clean. A charge from the opposite side can pick off value, but it may struggle to connect all the way to the key defenses without heavy spell use.
That balance is good for a TH14 War Base: there are possible entries, but none look easy or low-risk from the image alone.
Best Use in War
This layout makes the most sense as a TH14 War Base when you expect Electro Dragons, drag-based air spam, or attackers who prefer direct entries over surgical setup. It is not built to bait with one obvious trap section; instead, it tries to make the whole attack feel awkward from start to finish. For regular war or CWL, that is often more useful than a base that only punishes one exact plan.
