Strategy Explanation

This TH7 war base is a troll/funny “Spiderweb” that actually plays with pathing more than people expect. The purple walls draw a clear spider shape: thin legs fork outward while the body houses the core. The Town Hall sits slightly low in the center with the Clan Castle just above it, and the two Elixir Storages placed side‑by‑side as the “eyes.” Around that core, defenses are tucked into small pockets so ground troops keep bouncing between targets instead of pushing straight through.

The open-ended wall branches are the trick. Giants or Barbarians dropped near a leg will step inside a narrow channel, then re-target sideways when their chosen defense sits just out of reach behind another wall segment. That detour burns time, stacks units up for splash damage, and makes Wall Breakers pop in the wrong places. Meanwhile, Archer Towers and Cannons are spaced around the mid-ring so there’s always a point defense shooting while the splash (Mortars and Wizard Towers) works on the clumps.

For war, this layout aims to cause time fails and sloppy funnels. It’s not a pure anti-3; it’s a bait. Centralized CC makes luring awkward unless the attacker commits. If they don’t, a defending Dragon or mixed CC will shred unprotected Wizards meant to funnel.

Strengths

  • Spider legs create awkward pathing that slows Giants and funnels them away from the core.
  • Central Town Hall, Clan Castle, and storages provide a high-HP anchor that stalls pushes.
  • Mortars and Wizard Towers cover the leg intersections where troops clump.
  • Two Air Defenses appear tucked inside the mid-ring, protected by point defenses.
  • Builder Huts scattered along the bottom edge add end-of-raid time pressure.
  • Symmetry punishes one-side drops; troops split and walk around the web.

Placement Details Noticed

  • Town Hall centered low; Clan Castle directly above it for difficult lures.
  • Elixir Storages side-by-side in core; gold storages offset to the flanks.
  • Wizard Towers on left/right mid-ring, covering the heaviest traffic zones.
  • Archer Towers and Cannons spaced around the outer ring to keep constant chip damage.

War Tips and CC Setup

  • Defensive CC: a single Dragon is ideal at TH7 for anti-ground and slow-kill power.
  • Trap ideas: springs at the inner joints of each leg; small bombs on likely Wall Breaker tiles; air mines near the core covering both Air Defenses.
  • Scout for where opponents usually enter top legs in this design are inviting then adjust traps a tile or two between wars.

How to Use It

Don’t chase perfect walls; keep the spider shape clean and the gaps intentional. In war, place this as a mid-map base to lure overconfident attackers. If they don’t bring a solid dragon plan or mis-funnel Giants, the web wastes their time and turns a would-be triple into a shaky two star.
