Strategy Explanation

This TH7 war base runs a compact diamond core with layered purple walls and plenty of small compartments. The Town Hall sits near the center with the Clan Castle slightly offset below it, making lures expensive. Two Air Defenses are buried deep on opposite sides of the core, while the Air Sweeper sits near the middle pointing across the long axis to push air troops sideways instead of straight through. Mortars form a wide triangle in the second ring, and Wizard Towers are split diagonally to cover both storages and pathing for balloons. Archer Towers anchor the four edges, with Cannons spread around the outer box to keep giants walking and to chip away at funnel troops.

The base aims to be anti-3-star by forcing splits. Dragons entering from one edge get pushed off line by the Sweeper and drift around the ring, meeting an Air Defense from an awkward angle while the other AD survives in the back. Tight turns between single-defense compartments hide springs and bombs, punishing hogs and giants that take predictable paths. Builder Huts and a few outlying buildings are parked toward the corners to tax the clock in war.

Strengths

  • Solid anti-air core: Both ADs are deep and separated; the Sweeper angles them into awkward paths for Dragons and Balloons.
  • Clan Castle coverage: CC radius covers the core and much of the inner ring, so cheap lures from the outside are unreliable.
  • Compartmented ring: Giants and Hogs must break multiple walls; springs on the short connectors punish pathing between Cannon–Archer Tower pairs.
  • Time pressure: Corner huts and spread trash buildings make 3-stars harder even if the core falls.
  • Mortar/Wizard overlap: Splash covers both inner storages and outer funnels, denying mass BARCH and Minion cleanup.

Trap and Sweeper Placement Tips

  • Place Seeking Air Mines on the typical dragon entry lines (north and south edges) slightly inside the first defenses so they trigger after rage.
  • Stack regular Air Bombs behind the Sweeper’s push line to punish clumped dragons.
  • Put Spring Traps on the 2–3 tile connectors between Cannon–Archer Tower–Mortar paths where Hogs hop predictably.
  • Giant Bombs: one near each Wizard Tower path to catch hog packs mid-heal.

Recommended CC Troops

  • 1 Baby Dragon + Wizards/Archers: strong anti-ground and forces poison timing.
  • Valkyrie + Archers: brutal if the attacker fails a proper lure.

How to Deploy in War

  • Keep the Sweeper angled across the most common dragon side (scout replays and rotate if needed).
  • Spread outside buildings to the corners consistently to maintain time pressure.
  • Avoid leaving open tiles by the core that invite easy wall-breaker snipes.

Upgrade Priorities

  • Max both Air Defenses, then Wizard Towers, then Archer Towers.
  • Finish Springs and Air Traps; they flip results more than a small cannon upgrade at TH7.
