Strategic TH7 Defense Coc Layout | Anti Air / Dragon Mother of Dragon
Latest Reviews ()
Strategy Explanation
This TH7 war base runs a compact diamond with four wall layers and many small compartments to slow troops. The Town Hall sits in the core with the Clan Castle tightly centralized. The two Air Defenses are tucked one layer off the core on opposite diagonals, while the Air Sweeper is central so its push cuts across the middle. Wizard Towers sit mid-ring, not on the edge, and the Mortars form a triangle that shells entry points. Archer Towers and Cannons ring the outside, and you’ll notice high-HP storages (two Elixir at the bottom side, Gold split to the flanks) used as buffers in front of key defenses. Builder Huts are placed at the corners for time pressure, and the Barbarian King is parked up top as a distraction and late-fight cleanup stopper.
Against Dragons, the layout creates a wide, awkward funnel. If attackers drop from a side, they have to chew through storages while Archer Towers chip, then fly into a crossfire from both ADs plus Sweeper push. Centralized CC troops anchor the core so Dragons path around instead of straight through, often splitting toward the flanks where Air Traps and Wizard Towers pick them off.
Strengths
- Anti-Dragon layering: Two deep-set Air Defenses on opposite sides force long flight time and expose Dragons to sustained fire.
- Sweeper coverage: Central Sweeper pushes into the AD arc, delaying Rage value and causing pathing splits.
- Compartment spam: Giants/Hogs can’t path freely; small chambers create spring-trap alleys and stall ground pushes.
- Storages as shields: High-HP storages in the second ring protect Wizard Towers and ADs from early snipes.
- Time pressure: Corner huts and spread outer buildings create easy time fails when attackers chase percentage.
- Centralized CC + TH: Hard to lure; defensive Dragon/Loons activate over the core where they matter most.
War CC Recommendation
Defensive Dragon + 2–3 Balloons is the best fill at TH7. It’s hard to lure from this core and punishes sloppy Dragon entries. If your clan prefers ground defense, run 1 Baby Dragon + Wizards/Archers to deny pulls and snipe Hogs under heal.
Trap and Small Tweak Notes
- Place Seeking Air Mines on the most common Dragon approach (usually bottom and right edges here) and stack red Air Bombs just inside the first ring.
- Put Spring Traps in narrow gaps between Cannon–Archer Tower–Wizard Tower chains along the southern and western corridors.
- Keep Giant Bombs one layer inside, not on the outer grass, so Hogs eat them after the first heal.
Funneling Advice for Defense
Don’t leave builder huts or camps close to the diamond tips; the current spread is good. If you notice repeated zaps on the same AD in war, swap AD positions with the adjacent Wizard Tower between attacks to break the attacker’s plan without changing the overall shape.
