Strategy Explanation
This TH7 war layout is a diamond-shaped, multi-compartment design that doubles as a farming base. The Town Hall sits slightly above center inside its own box, while the storages form a protected spine through the middle: two Elixir storages sit mid-core and the two Gold storages stack just below them. The Dark Elixir storage is tucked toward the lower core with the Clan Castle nearby, making lures awkward from any side.
Defenses are layered to slow both air and ground. The two Air Defenses are placed deep on the left and right inner ring, and the Air Sweeper aims across the core so Dragons coming from the top edge get pushed off-line and start circling. Mortars are spaced in a wide triangle (top, left, right) to punish BARCH and clear trash troops, while the two Wizard Towers guard the lower core where your storages and DE sit. Archer Towers cover the four points of the diamond and the outer edges, with Cannons anchoring ground paths and creating spring-trap lanes.
The outer ring has collectors and camps spread to mess with funneling, so spam attacks tend to walk around while your core DPS remains untouched. It’s an anti-3 approach: star snipe is tough because the TH is not free, and a full triple requires precise spells and pathing.
Strengths

- Loot safety: All four storages are layered behind multiple walls, with Wizard Towers and Mortars covering them.

Recommended Trap Placements
- Place Spring Traps between outer Cannons and Archer Towers on the left and right edges to catch early Hogs.
- Drop Seeking Air Mines near each Air Defense; stack one near the likely Lightning-survivor AD.
- Giant Bombs in the lower side compartments beside storages to punish Hog turns and clean-up troops.
- Air Bombs in front of the Sweeper’s push line to weaken Dragon clumps.
War CC and Defense Setup
- CC troops: 1 Dragon + 1 Balloon (or Dragon + Archers) for anti-Dragon wars; Baby Dragon + Wizards works too.
- Point the Air Sweeper across the longest approach (usually top-to-bottom) to force circling.
Farming Tweaks
- If you’re actively farming, you can slide the Town Hall one layer closer to the edge for easier shields while keeping storages deep.
- Swap a Cannon with a corner Archer Tower if you’re seeing more air than ground in multiplayer.
How to Play It
- Scout for Dragon entries and adjust Seeking Air Mines before war attacks start.
- Against Hog-heavy clans, move one Giant Bomb two tiles deeper so it triggers under Heal gaps.
- Keep Wizard Towers and Air Defenses maxed first; they win you most TH7 defenses.
