Ultimate TH17 Anti 3 Star CWL Base for Air and Electro Dragon Hits 2026
A TH17 anti air layout built around separated compartments, awkward E-Dragon chains, and a protected central defense core that makes clean triples harder.

Strategy Explanation
This TH17 base uses a wide diamond-style structure with the Town Hall pressure shifted away from a simple straight-line attack. The strongest part of the layout is not one single compartment, but the way the defensive value is spread across the base. Electro Dragons and other air spam armies do not get a clean chain through the middle because the core is broken up with gaps, staggered defenses, and separated compartments.
The middle section holds important defensive value while the outer rings are packed with enough point defenses, traps, and distractions to slow the first push. Attackers who start from the Town Hall side still need to deal with the central defenses afterward, while attacks from the opposite side risk leaving the Town Hall area standing late. That makes this layout more useful as an anti 3 star base than a simple anti 2 star design.
Strengths
- Good anti Electro Dragon spacing: the buildings are not lined up in easy chains through the core, so E-Drags lose value quickly if the funnel is poor.
- Diamond pathing: troops tend to split around the central compartments instead of walking directly through every key defense.
- Strong air coverage: air-targeting defenses are spread around the base, forcing air armies to stay under fire for most of the hit.
- Awkward Town Hall approach: the Town Hall area is protected by nearby defenses and does not give a free route into the rest of the base.
- Cleanup pressure: outside buildings and corner structures can punish attacks that spend too much time on the first half.
Diamond Core and Compartment Control
The base is built around a diamond-shaped center with smaller compartments feeding into it from different angles. This is useful at TH17 because many popular attacks depend on creating a clean lane. Here, the lane is not obvious. Ground troops can bend around the middle, while air troops often have to choose between the Town Hall side and the heavier core side.
The open spaces and staggered walls also make jump and rage value less automatic. A spell dropped in the wrong area may only cover part of the army, which is exactly what you want from an anti 3 star layout.
Anti Air and Electro Dragon Pathing
This layout is clearly aimed at air spam, especially Electro Dragons. The key detail is the spacing between major defenses and storage clusters. E-Drags want connected buildings and predictable chains. This base gives them some outside targets, but the deeper value is split, so the attack often slows down before it reaches the most important defenses.
Air defenses, high-damage towers, and support buildings are positioned so the attacker cannot remove everything from one side. Even if an air army gets through the first layer, it still has to cross into another defended pocket instead of rolling straight across the base.
Best Use and Copy Layout Notes
This is a solid TH17 copy layout option for players who see a lot of Electro Dragon spam, air armies, and rushed funnel attacks in war or regular defense. It is not meant to stop every 2 star attempt; it is better at making the triple messy by stretching the attack across multiple compartments.
If you use the copy base option, check your trap placement after copying and adjust it based on your own defense log. Place seeking air mines where blimps or dragons usually enter, and keep skeleton traps set to air if your opponents rely heavily on air spam. Small trap changes can make this layout much more annoying without changing the overall structure.
