Strategy Explanation

This TH17 war base is built for anti 2 star value by keeping the Town Hall area protected inside a tight, boxed core instead of leaving a clean entry lane. The layout uses a diamond-style shape with layered compartments, so attackers have to spend real commitment to reach the middle. A simple hero dive or small blimp does not get a straight path to the Town Hall because the core is wrapped by defensive pockets and awkward wall angles.

The outer ring has enough buildings to slow funneling, but the important defenses are not all sitting on the edge. That matters in war because attackers often try to pick off one side, send the Warden ability through the Town Hall, and secure a safe two star. Here, they still need to break through multiple compartments while dealing with damage from the center and side pockets.

Strengths

  • Protected Town Hall zone: The Town Hall is not easy to snipe from the outside and requires a committed push.
  • Layered compartments: Wall sections force troops to retarget and slow down spam-style attacks.
  • Awkward funnel shape: The diamond base shape makes clean left-to-right pathing harder than on a square layout.
  • Spread defensive value: Key defenses are placed across the core and inner sides, reducing the chance of one spell push clearing everything.
  • Good war utility: Best used when you want to make attackers work for the second star rather than racing for a fast clear.

Town Hall Access and Core Pressure

The main idea is to make the Town Hall feel close but not actually cheap. It sits inside a compact core with surrounding defenses and short compartments that interrupt pathing. Attackers who send heroes from one edge may clear some value, but they still need another phase to secure the Town Hall. That delay is exactly what helps the base defend against safe two-star plans.

For war use, avoid giving away trap placement by reusing the base too many times in the same clan lineup. If you use the copy layout option, adjust a few traps after copying to match the common attacks you see in your league.

Compartment Shape and Pathing Control

The base does a good job of avoiding long, open lanes. Troops entering from a corner can drift around the outside if the funnel is not set correctly, while troops entering from a flat side still need to chew through layered walls. This is useful against root-style pushes, hero dives, and general smash attacks because the army can lose time before reaching the Town Hall.

The defensive pockets on the upper and lower sides also stop the layout from becoming too core-heavy. Even if the attacker gets into the middle, they still have to finish through remaining compartments for percentage.

Best Use in War and CWL

This is a solid TH17 war base for players who want an anti 2 star layout with a copy link rather than a loose farming setup. It fits best in CWL or regular wars against attackers who rely on predictable Town Hall charges, safe blimps, or straight-line spam. Place defensive Clan Castle troops that stall in the core, and keep traps focused around the most obvious entry lanes to make the Town Hall push more expensive.
