Strategy Explanation

This TH17 war base is a rotated diamond with tight, multi-layered compartments and a heavy core. The Town Hall sits slightly north of center inside a boxed chamber, flanked by high-DPS support and layered storages that soak spells and chain damage. A clear horizontal line of elixir storages runs through the middle, breaking up pathing and making it hard for Electro Dragons to chain through the heart. Scattershots anchor the mid flanks (roughly 3 and 9 o’clock), while the Eagle Artillery is up toward 12 o’clock, forcing attackers to choose between early Eagle pressure or a risky Town Hall dive. Infernos and X-Bows are staggered across the inner ring, creating overlapping beams no matter which side opens first.

Air-targeting traps are concentrated through the middle lanes and around the Town Hall approach, and the air sweepers are angled down the long diagonals to push blimps and E-Drags off their preferred lines. The outer ring is chopped into small boxes, with builders sprinkled around key defenses to stretch time and punish incomplete funnels. Overall, it’s built to split hero charges, break Electro Dragon chains, and deny clean Lalo paths.

Strengths

  • Anti 2-Star core: Town Hall sits behind multiple walls with layered DPS. Even with a Battle Blimp, sweepers and central air traps make a safe activation tricky.
  • Anti 3-Star tempo: Compartment depth plus offset high-value targets deny simple pathing for smash, Hybrid, and Lalo. It’s easy to run out of spells before reaching the core.
  • Anti Air/E-Drags: Staggered storages in the center and spread-out high-HP buildings cut chain value. Sweepers on the diagonals and Seeking Air Mines through the lanes punish spam.
  • Eagle vs TH split: With the Eagle high and the TH boxed, attackers must either eat early Eagle fire or take a long, trap-heavy route to the Town Hall.
  • Spell resilience: The core has multiple key targets spaced so a single Rage/Freeze window can’t cover everything at once.

Recommended Clan Castle

  • Ice Golem + 2 Headhunters + Super Minion + Archers: Freezes hero dives, snipes the Queen/Royal Champion, and pressures air entries.
  • Alternative: Double Ice + Wizards for heavier stall against Smash.

Trap and Setup Notes

  • Keep a Seeking Air Mine and a Red Bomb stack on the Town Hall entry side you expect most blimps.
  • Tornado in front of the Town Hall box works best to hold troops in Giga Poison while Scatter/Monolith beams connect.
  • Consider one Inferno on Single if your war meta is Yeti Smash/Recall-heavy; go triple Multi if E-Drags and Lalo are common.

Attackers’ Scouting Tips (so you can defend against them)

  • Look for a small Queen Charge from 3 o’clock to remove a Scatter and a Sweeper, then Lalo through 12–10. As a defender, rotate sweeper angles if your opponents favor this.
  • For Hybrid threats from 4–5 o’clock, shift a Giant Bomb pair onto the first turn after entry to clip Healers and Miners together.

Final Thoughts

Use this layout when you want to force mistakes and drain spell value. It’s a grindy, high-pressure TH17 war base that reliably guards the Town Hall and makes triples rare without a perfect plan.
