Strategy Explanation

This TH14 layout plays as a hybrid anti 3 star base with clear anti-air intent. The Town Hall sits slightly off-center inside a protected compartment rather than being left as an easy edge grab, while the main defensive value is spread through several connected boxes. That makes the attacker commit properly if they want the Town Hall, Clan Castle area, and core defenses in one push.

The layout is especially annoying for Electro Dragon spam because the base does not give one clean straight line through the core. Buildings are broken up by walls, small compartments, and offset defensive islands, so chains are less consistent than they would be on a tightly packed ring base. Air defenses, archer towers, x-bows, and heavy splash are placed across different layers, forcing air troops to keep taking damage while moving between compartments.

Strengths

  • Good anti 3 star shape: the base has multiple compartments that slow heroes, Yetis, Super Bowlers, and Dragon pushes from rolling straight through.
  • Strong anti-air coverage: air-targeting defenses are not all sitting in one area, which helps against Electro Dragons, Dragons, Balloons, and Battle Blimp follow-ups.
  • Protected Town Hall access: the TH14 is close enough to the core to punish late entries, but not so central that every attack naturally deletes it early.
  • Hybrid value: storages and defensive layers help protect loot while still keeping enough war-style structure to resist triples.
  • Awkward funneling: the outer buildings and angled compartments make it harder to create a smooth path into the middle.

Core Value Protection

The central area is built to make the attacker spend time before reaching the best value. The Town Hall, core defenses, and nearby storages create a damage pocket where troops can stall. This is useful against spam armies because they often rely on momentum; once the army slows down in the middle, scatter damage, infernos, x-bows, and heroes can start picking it apart.

The compartments also stop wall breakers and jump spells from opening everything at once. Even if one section is breached, the army still has to make another decision instead of walking naturally through the whole base.

Anti Electro Dragon Pathing

The main reason this layout fits the anti Electro Dragon tag is the spacing and broken chain value. Electro Dragons want dense lines of buildings that let their lightning jump into defenses and core targets. Here, many key defenses are offset, and several compartments force E-Drags to drift rather than stay stacked together.

Air sweepers and air defenses should be checked after copying the base, especially if your clan commonly faces Electro Dragon spam. Keep seeking air mines near likely entry lanes or around high-value air defenses rather than dumping every trap directly on the outside.

Hybrid Use and Copy Layout Notes

This is a good option if you want one TH14 base that can work for regular defense, clan war testing, and daily loot protection without looking like a pure farming box. The resource storages are not all exposed on the edge, and the defensive core still demands a real plan from the attacker.

If you use the copy layout option, take a minute to match traps, sweepers, and hero placement to your defensive log. If you keep seeing blimps from one corner, move tornado and red air bombs toward that lane. If Queen Charges are getting too much value, shift a few skeleton traps or ground traps to slow the charge before it reaches the core.
