Strategy Explanation
This TH13 layout uses a diamond-style build with the Town Hall locked inside several layers of walls instead of sitting on an easy edge. The main idea is to make attackers commit heavily before they can reach the core. The surrounding rings pull troops sideways, which is useful against common war and Legend League hits where the attacker wants a clean line into the Town Hall, Eagle, Clan Castle, and Infernos.
The defensive value is spread across the base rather than stacked in one obvious compartment. Air Defenses, Wizard Towers, X-Bows, and Scattershot coverage are placed so Electro Dragons and Dragons do not get a simple chain through the middle. Ground armies also have to deal with awkward pathing because the compartments are not straight lanes into the Town Hall.
Strengths
- Strong anti 2 star shape: the Town Hall is deep enough that a light hero dive or simple Battle Blimp plan is not guaranteed to finish the job.
- Good anti-air spacing: key defenses are spread around the diamond, reducing easy Electro Dragon chain value.
- Layered wall rings: troops often walk around the core instead of breaking directly into it.
- Hybrid-friendly defense: the base protects the center while still keeping storages and defenses spread for normal multiplayer or Legend League use.
- Multiple damage zones: attackers cannot remove every major defense with one spell group or one short push.
Core Ring and Town Hall Access
The best part of this layout is the central ring around the Town Hall. The Town Hall is not exposed, but it also is not isolated in a tiny box that troops can reach with one jump. Attackers normally need a Siege Machine, Wall Breakers, Jump Spell, or a full hero commitment to get reliable access. That makes it a practical anti 2 star base, especially when the attacker is trying to play safe.
The ring shape also helps against Yetis, Bowlers, and Super Bowlers because troops can split around the center if the funnel is not tight. When that happens, the Town Hall stays alive longer and the attacker has to spend extra spells to recover.
Anti Electro Dragon and Air Defense Setup
This is a solid option if you see a lot of Electro Dragon spam. The base does not give one clean chain from outside buildings into every core defense. Air-targeting defenses are placed across multiple compartments, and the core damage forces E-Drags to sit under pressure while they slowly move through high-hitpoint buildings.
Air Sweepers near the middle add extra disruption, especially when the attacker tries to send a straight-line air push through the Town Hall. Seeking Air Mines and Air Bombs should stay around likely Blimp and Dragon paths if you copy the layout, because small trap placement changes can make a big difference at TH13.
War, CWL, and Legend League Use
For war and CWL, this base works best as an anti 2 star or anti-spam layout. It is not trying to bait attackers with a free Town Hall; it makes them earn it. That can force safer armies, lower percentage two-stars, or rushed attacks when the entry does not go cleanly.
In Legend League, the same structure is useful because it spreads damage and keeps the Town Hall protected without giving away the whole outside ring. If you want a ready TH13 copy layout, use the copy option and then adjust traps after watching a few defenses. Move traps toward the side opponents most often use for Blimps, Queen Charges, or Electro Dragon entries.
