Strategy Explanation

This TH13 layout is built around making the attacker work for the Town Hall instead of handing it over with a simple blimp or straight-line push. The Town Hall sits deep in the middle of the base, surrounded by heavy defenses, heroes, traps, and several small compartments that break up clean pathing. It has a box-style core rather than a wide ring, so troops that enter from one side can easily get pulled sideways before they reach the main value.

The Eagle Artillery is placed high in the base, while the stronger core damage is concentrated around the Town Hall area. That split matters because attackers cannot take every key defense with one small kill squad. If they commit early to the Eagle side, the Town Hall core remains dangerous. If they go straight for the Town Hall, they still have to deal with layered compartments and side defenses firing into the push.

Strengths

  • Good anti 2 star setup: the Town Hall is protected deep enough that a rushed hit or weak funnel can miss it completely.
  • Awkward troop pathing: the compartment shapes make it hard for Yetis, Bowlers, and heroes to walk in a clean line through the base.
  • Separated major value: the Eagle, Scattershot zones, Infernos, and Town Hall core are not all sitting in one easy package.
  • Useful against spam attacks: attackers need a proper entry plan instead of dropping everything on one edge and hoping it rolls through.
  • Decent anti 3 star pressure: even after the Town Hall goes down, the remaining compartments can slow cleanup and split troops.

Town Hall Core Protection

The biggest feature of this base is the boxed-in Town Hall area. It is not sitting on the edge or in a shallow compartment, which makes it much better for anti 2 star defense. The attacker has to either invest a Battle Blimp, a committed hero dive, or a full army push to reach it. That investment usually leaves fewer tools for the back end, which is exactly what this layout wants.

The nearby high-damage defenses and hero coverage also punish troops that arrive at the Town Hall without enough support. Even if the attacker secures the first star from percentage, the second star is not free unless the entry is planned properly.

Compartment Pathing and Funnel Control

The walls create several small boxes around the center, with angled access points that can pull troops off course. This is useful against ground armies because they often want a smooth lane into the core. Here, the push can split into side compartments while the main damage stays active. It is especially annoying for armies that rely on predictable movement, such as Yeti Smash or Pekka-style pushes.

The outside buildings also help stretch the attack. They give the base a wider footprint, forcing the attacker to spend time and troops building a funnel before the real push starts.

Air and Blimp Considerations

This is not a free base for air spam because the important defenses are spread across multiple sections rather than stacked in one corner. Air troops have to cross several firing zones before reaching the core, and a poorly timed Warden ability can leave balloons or dragons stuck under heavy damage near the Town Hall.

For best results, keep your air traps updated and avoid leaving the same trap pattern after multiple defenses in war. A few small trap swaps around the Town Hall approach can make this layout much harder to read.

Best Use for This Layout

This TH13 base fits war, CWL, and defensive practice when you want a layout that mainly protects the second star while still having enough structure to stop messy triples. It is a good choice if your clan often faces spam attackers or players who rely on safe two-star plans. Use the copy layout option if you want a ready-made TH13 anti 2 star base with a compact core and uncomfortable pathing from most angles.
