TH12 Hybrid Base with Central Town Hall Anti 3 Star

Strategy Explanation
This TH12 hybrid layout uses a compact central core with the Town Hall placed deep inside multiple layers of walls. The main idea is to force attackers through several short compartments before they can claim the key defenses and the Town Hall. The Clan Castle, Inferno Towers, and core splash damage are grouped close enough to punish troops that break in too early, but the surrounding compartments still keep the base from feeling like a single easy jump target.
The base has a diamond-style shape with defensive rings around the center. The Eagle Artillery sits lower in the layout rather than directly beside the Town Hall, which creates a useful split in high-value targets. An attacker pushing for the Town Hall does not automatically get the Eagle at the same time, and the same is true in reverse. That trade-off matters against ground armies that rely on one strong entry and a straight line through the middle.
Outer buildings are spread around the edges, which can pull heroes and funnel troops wider than intended. Air defenses and wizard towers are distributed around the main body instead of stacked on one side, so there is no obvious low-risk air entry visible from the image. The compartments on the flanks also create awkward movement for hogs, miners, and bowlers, especially if the initial funnel is even slightly off.
Strengths
The strongest feature here is how much work an attacker has to do before reaching the center. The Town Hall is protected by several layers, and the base does not give easy direct access from one side. At the same time, the spread of major defenses reduces the value of one simple push spell plan.
- Central Town Hall: Deep placement helps against two-star-focused attacks and forces commitment into the core.
- Separated key targets: The Eagle Artillery is not sitting directly on top of the Town Hall, so attackers usually need more than one phase to secure everything.
- Layered compartments: The ringed structure can break clean pathing for miners, hogs, and pekka-style pushes.
- Balanced splash coverage: Wizard towers, bomb towers, and Infernos are placed to cover multiple approaches rather than one obvious entry lane.
- Hybrid usefulness: Storages and defenses are mixed through the layout, so it works for both defensive value and resource protection.
Core Value Protection
The core is where this layout gets most of its defensive value. The Town Hall sits in the middle with heavy point and splash support around it, and the compartments immediately outside the core act like buffers that slow direct access. This makes it awkward for smash attacks that want one jump and full core control. Even if attackers enter with siege support, they still have to manage multiple defensive layers before stabilizing around the Town Hall.
Because the core is dense, timing matters a lot for the attacker. Troops that arrive unevenly can be burned down quickly by concentrated fire. That makes this design especially annoying for attacks that depend on heroes staying aligned with the main push.
Ground Attack Pathing
Against ground armies, the key feature is the side compartment structure. Troops entering from the lower or side angles can be dragged along the ring before cutting inward. That is useful against miners and hogs because they do not get a simple sweep through every major defense. Pekka smash and bowler entries can still work, but they need a precise funnel to stop troops from walking the outer lanes.
The lower half also forces a decision around the Eagle Artillery. If attackers commit there first, they still have a longer trip to the Town Hall. If they ignore it and go directly for the middle, the Eagle stays active during the push.
Air Attack Considerations
This layout does not show an easy air side where multiple air defenses line up for clean spell value. The anti-air coverage is spread around the main body, and the central Town Hall discourages light commitment attacks. Electro Dragons may still find chain value if buildings are not trimmed on the edges, but the compartment spacing through the middle is much less friendly to simple straight-line air spam.
LavaLoon-style attacks can target one side at a time, but they still need a plan for the deeper core defenses. The layout asks air attacks to stay organized for longer than a basic ring base would.
Best Use and Practical Fit
This is a practical TH12 choice if you want one setup that can cover regular defense, protect resources reasonably well, and still hold up as an Anti 3 Star style war design. It is not relying on one trick. Instead, it uses central protection, split key defenses, and awkward troop routing to make clean triples harder. If you want to test it directly, the copy option makes it easy to drop into your village and see how attackers path against it.
