Strategy Explanation

This TH12 war base uses a dense grid of small compartments to split troops and waste spell value. The Town Hall sits in the inner ring, protected by X-Bows and Infernos from multiple angles. The Eagle Artillery is placed on the opposite inner side so a single wall break and jump won’t reach both TH and Eagle in one push. Storages are staggered around the second ring (notice the elixir stack on the right and gold spread up top) to soak damage and stall Queen Charges. Air Defenses are evenly spaced in a diamond, with Air Sweepers angled across the core to push air troops off the TH line.

Defensively, this layout aims to bait Hybrid and GoWiWi into the side channels. Once troops step in, they bounce between tiny boxes instead of moving straight to the core, while heroes have to punch extra walls. External trash buildings are spaced to make clean funnels costly, and Wizard Towers plus Bomb Towers cover the right and lower lanes to punish mass witches and miners.

Strengths

  • Compartment maze: Dozens of 3x3 and 4x4 chambers create awkward pathing; jumps only open limited value.
  • Split high-value targets: Town Hall, Eagle, and Clan Castle are separated so one entry can’t claim all three.
  • Anti-witch coverage: Wizard Towers and Bomb Towers overlap on the right/bottom sides where spam entries are common.
  • Balanced air setup: Four Air Defenses form a ring and X-Bows cover both air/ground, making one-sided Electro Dragon pushes fizzle.
  • Hero spread: King and Queen are on different flanks, denying easy value from a single charge.

How It Defends Common Armies

  • GoWiWi/GoBoWi: Side channels peel golems and witches apart; splash on right/bottom punishes skeleton waves.
  • Queen Charge Hybrid: Split TH/Eagle forces two-phase plan; miners path erratically through the inner grid and stall on storages.
  • Electro Dragons: Sweeper angles and AD spacing make chain value poor; core X-Bows chip continuously while E-Drags detour.

Trap Suggestions

  • Place Giant Bombs between the right-side Wizard Tower and adjoining compartments to catch miners and witches.
  • Double Seeking Air Mines along the longest sweeper line into the Town Hall to punish Stone Slammer/Loon follow-ups.
  • Springs on narrow junctions at the bottom entry to eject hogs/miners after the first heal.

War CC Recommendation

For anti-3-star intent, use a mixed CC: Ice Golem + Baby Dragon + Archers, or two Ice Golems. It stalls Queen Charges in the compact center and forces extra spell use before the Hybrid phase.

Builder Notes

  • If your clan faces frequent bats, move one Wizard Tower from the left edge one tile inward to ensure overlapping coverage.
  • Rotate an X-Bow to ground if your wars are ground-heavy; otherwise keep a 2/2 split to retain hybrid coverage.
