Strategy Explanation
This TH12 war base uses a diamond core with layered compartments to force pathing away from the Town Hall and burn time. The Town Hall sits centrally with the Clan Castle just above it and the Eagle Artillery slightly south, all wrapped by an inner ring of compartments. Inferno Towers form a triangle around the core, while X-Bows anchor the mid ring to keep constant pressure on troops no matter which side they start from. Storages are split through the middle ring to stall Queen charges and to absorb Balloons and Miners.
The outer ring is made of small, offset boxes that hold Cannons, Archer Towers, and splash. This creates awkward angles for Wall Wrecker and makes Stone Slammer or Blimp commit early. Wide-spread trash buildings on the perimeter slow funnel troops, so a lazy funnel often drifts around the edges instead of stepping into the core. Air Defenses are staggered at four quadrants, with Air Sweepers pushing across the core to blunt Electro Dragons and Lalo.
Strengths
- Anti 2-star pathing: Even with a good entry, troops tend to circle the inner ring while the Town Hall, CC, and Infernos remain protected.
- Solid hybrid resistance: Bomb Towers and likely Giant Bomb pockets on both flanks punish Hogs/Miners once the Heal expires.
- Queen charge traps: Charges into any corner meet crossfire from two X-Bows and an Inferno, with storages acting as time sinks.
- Air denial: Staggered Air Defenses and Sweeper crossfire make straight-line Electro Dragon or Lalo pushes fizzle without multiple Freezes.
- Hero spread: Heroes are placed on different sides so a single entry can’t remove all three and the Eagle together.
Recommended Trap and Gear Settings
- Infernos: one single, two multi for balanced anti-Queen and anti-swarm coverage.
- X-Bows: 2 Ground, 2 Air to maintain pressure on both Hybrid and Lalo.
- Seeking Air Mines on the heaviest air entry (usually the side with fewer point defenses); Red Air Mines across the mid ring to catch Balloons.
- Giant Bombs between inner ring compartments to clip Miners/Hogs after they path through a Heal.
- Teslas clustered on one flank of the diamond to spring a late-time sink and disrupt pathing.
Clan Castle Defense
- Ice Golem + Lava Hound + Archers for maximum stall versus Queen charges.
- Electro Dragon + Balloons if you expect Blimp entries into the core.
War Use Tips
- Rotate Air Sweeper directions based on scout info; point at the most likely Electro Dragon lane.
- Move a Spring Trap or two after each defense—attackers often repeat entries once they find a path.
- If your clan faces frequent Log Launcher smashes, shift one inner wall node to break straight-line openings.
Who This Base Frustrates
- Queen Charge Hybrid that relies on clearing the Town Hall early.
- Standard Lalo without Sui-Lalo investment to remove a corner Inferno and Sweeper first.
- Electro Dragons that don’t bring enough Freezes for the core Inferno/X-Bow crossfire.
