Strategy Explanation

This TH12 war layout is a diamond-shaped, triple-ring design built to bleed time and split troops. The Town Hall sits in the core with the Clan Castle tight beside it, backed by X-Bows and Infernos on the inner ring. Storages are evenly spaced around the middle to soak damage and stall Queen Charges. Four Air Defenses are tucked just off-center, each covered by a Wizard Tower so Bat spells don’t get a free ride. The outer ring is full of small, isolated compartments with Archer Towers, Cannons, and traps in between perfect for breaking up Kill Squads and forcing Siege Machines to chew through multiple walls.

Openings along the edges look inviting, but most lead into short dead-ends where Spring Traps and Giant Bombs typically sit. Air Sweepers are angled across the Town Hall, pushing air pushes off their line to the core. Heroes are spread around the inner ring so you can’t snipe all three with one entry, and the Eagle Artillery is tucked in a protected quadrant rather than dead center, making it awkward to reach without overcommitting.

Strengths

  • Anti-2 star pressure: Core Town Hall with stacked DPS and CC coverage makes safe Blimp snipes risky, while ground charges stall on the storage ring.
  • Queen Charge tax: Layered compartments and offset Eagle force a long walk and multiple Rages; funnel buildings on the perimeter pull the Queen off course.
  • Air resistance: ADs are spread so E-Drags can’t chain through them, and Sweepers cut key flight lines toward the core.
  • Anti-swarm: Wizard Towers and Bomb Towers are staggered to punish Hogs/Miners, with Giant Bomb pockets between outer and middle rings.
  • Time control: Lots of small compartments on the rim make pathing messy in Legends; troops constantly backtrack.

Recommended CC

  • Lava Hound + 2 Ice Golems (war): brutal for Queen Charges and late-stage Lalo.
  • Ice Golem + Witch + Archers (Legends): drags time and forces extra Poison.

Trap and Mode Tips

  • Run 2 Multi + 1 Single Inferno (place the Single covering the Town Hall side you expect most entries).
  • Stack Red Air Bombs behind Sweepers on the likely Blimp lanes; Seeking Air Mines near the Eagle quadrant.
  • Giant Bombs between outer Wizard Towers and inner compartments to punish Miners/Hogs crossing layers.
  • Tesla farm: hide it on one long edge of the diamond to wreck Loons’ pathing and bait a bad Siege drop.

Attack Paths to Avoid (for attackers)

  • Straight E-Drag spam from a corner: chains stall on the storage ring and Sweepers; you’ll time fail.
  • Short Queen Charge toward the Eagle: you’ll burn spells early, then run dry at the core.

Builder Notes

For war fresh hits, rotate hero positions and swap one inner X-Bow with a Wizard Tower to break scouting. In Legends, push the outer trash buildings one tile outward where possible to increase time pressure without exposing defenses.
