COC Bases: Best TH17 Legend League Layouts (Copy Links)

Defend consistently in Legends League with TH17 bases built to force time fails, deny triples, and survive multiple daily attacks. Copy any base instantly with 1-tap links.

How to Choose the Best TH17 Legend League Base

A TH17 Legend League base should be selected for repeated competitive defenses rather than one surprising replay. The layout should limit easy triples, control destruction percentage and force attackers to commit Heroes, spells, equipment and Siege Machines to separate objectives.

The best TH17 Legend League layout for your account depends on your Legend tier, its Battle Modifiers and the attack routes appearing in your defensive log. A design that handles one army or modifier well may need different settings when the competitive environment changes.

Compare the layouts on this page by reviewing Town Hall access, Firespitter directions, defensive Hero positions, Battle Blimp routes, major-defense separation and back-end strength. No TH17 base can guarantee protection against every Legend attacker or strategy.

Consistent Defensive Structure

A Legend layout should remain useful after attackers understand its visible building arrangement. It should not depend entirely on one hidden trap, one unusual wall opening or one unexpected defensive setting.

Important defensive pressure should remain in the opening, central and final sections of the village.

Separated High-Value Objectives

The Town Hall, Monolith, Spell Towers, Firespitters, defensive Heroes and major splash defenses should not all be reachable through one Hero dive, Battle Blimp or central push.

Objective separation forces attackers to divide their resources between different parts of the base.

Setup and Funnel Denial

Selected perimeter buildings should remain under defensive coverage so attackers cannot create a completely safe funnel with a small troop or Hero commitment.

The outside structure should make different attack sides require different setup plans rather than offering one obvious entry.

Evidence-Based Trap Placement

Initial trap positions should follow likely Hero, troop and Siege Machine routes visible in the layout. They can then be adjusted using repeated defensive results from your own Legend log.

Publication on this page does not automatically mean that every trap position has undergone controlled testing against top-ranked players.

How the Current Legend League Structure Affects Base Selection

Legend League is divided into Legend I, Legend II and Legend III. Each tier has its own tournament structure and Battle Modifiers, so the defensive environment is not identical across the complete Legend ladder.

Legend III

Legend III uses weekly tournaments with 24 battles per week. Its Battle Modifiers differ from the higher Legend tiers.

Base selection should account for the armies encouraged by those modifiers rather than copying a layout intended only for Legend I.

Legend II

Legend II uses weekly tournaments with 30 battles per week. The larger set of results can help reveal repeated Town Hall, Blimp, Firespitter and back-end weaknesses.

Legend I

Legend I uses eight battles per day within a four-week tournament. Daily defensive results make average stars, destruction and repeated entry routes especially useful for layout comparison.

Battle Modifiers

Legend modifiers can change defensive damage, defensive Hero strength and offensive conditions. Review the active tier before choosing settings or making structural adjustments.

What Should a TH17 Legend Base Try to Achieve?

Legend defense should be judged across multiple attacks. One low-percentage defense does not prove that a layout is exceptional, and one triple does not automatically mean that the complete design must be replaced.

  • Reduce easy triples: avoid one route that connects the Town Hall, core and back-end defenses.
  • Control destruction: keep selected perimeter and interior buildings under meaningful coverage.
  • Force separate commitments: make attackers divide Heroes, spells and Siege support between different objectives.
  • Preserve back-end damage: important defenses should remain after the opening and Town Hall sections fall.
  • Complicate cleanup: use defended outside buildings and travel distance without relying only on isolated corner structures.

TH17 Defenses That Shape Legend Layouts

Town Hall 17 has several defensive mechanics that must be reviewed whenever a Legend layout is copied or changed. These include the Inferno Artillery, Firespitter directions, visible Giga Bomb and defensive Hero assignments.

Inferno Artillery Coverage

The TH17 Town Hall contains an always-active Inferno Artillery that attacks multiple targets and leaves damaging areas affecting ground and flying troops.

Use its pressure without placing every major defense in the Town Hall compartment. Enough damage should remain after the Town Hall is destroyed.

Directional Firespitters

Firespitters only target units inside their selected directional areas. Their cones should cover attractive Town Hall, Hero, air and ground routes.

Check both directions after copying a layout. Correct building placement does not help when the active coverage points toward an unused side.

Visible Giga Bomb

TH17 uses a separate visible Giga Bomb rather than a Town Hall destruction explosion. Its damage and pushback should influence a path attackers have a realistic reason to use.

The surrounding defenses should remain active when it triggers, and the layout should still function when an attacker chooses to avoid it.

Defensive Hero Assignments

Hero Banners allow you to select and position the Heroes defending the village. Their locations should support important approaches without creating one grouped encounter.

Separate Hero pressure so one spell-supported push cannot control every defender at the same time.

Choosing the Town Hall Position

Town Hall placement affects star value, Siege Machine routes, Inferno Artillery coverage and the amount of defensive value available from one entry.

Central Town Hall

A central Town Hall may require attackers to pass through several defensive layers and spend important resources before reaching it.

Avoid grouping the Town Hall, Monolith, both Spell Towers, Firespitters and every splash defense inside one compact landing area.

Offset Town Hall

An offset Town Hall can pull the main army toward one side while powerful defenses remain elsewhere.

Check whether one Hero or short Battle Blimp route can reach it too cheaply from the deployment boundary.

Teaser-Style Town Hall

A teaser position encourages attackers to enter from a predictable direction. That route should contain traps, defensive Heroes and overlapping damage.

Without a clear punishment plan, the Town Hall may simply become an inexpensive first objective.

Town Hall and Back-End Separation

Reaching the Town Hall should not remove the complete defensive plan. Preserve important air-targeting, splash and single-target defenses in another section.

Planning Firespitter and Air Sweeper Directions

Firespitter and Air Sweeper directions should be planned together. Their coverage must match the Town Hall position, outside funnels and attack routes that provide the greatest visible value.

  • Cover attractive approaches: aim toward sides offering Town Hall, Monolith, Spell Tower or core access.
  • Protect different attack phases: one directional defense can influence the opening while another covers the back end.
  • Coordinate air pushback: Sweeper pressure can keep flying troops inside useful Firespitter coverage.
  • Avoid duplicated blind areas: pointing everything toward one side may leave another valuable entry exposed.
  • Follow replay evidence: adjust directions when repeated attacks use an uncovered route.

Planning against Battle Blimps

Battle Blimps may target the Town Hall, Monolith, Spell Towers or another concentrated defensive section. Review direct and diagonal approaches from every deployment side.

Separate Landing-Zone Value

One successful delivery should not remove the Town Hall and several major defenses while also creating a simple route for the main army.

Use Layered Coverage

Seeking Air Mines, Air Bombs, Sweepers, the Tornado Trap and defensive towers should influence more than one likely Blimp route.

Account for Protected Deliveries

Attackers may support a Blimp with Hero abilities, equipment and spells. Do not assume one air trap or Sweeper will stop every planned delivery.

Use Tornado Trap Delay

Place the Tornado Trap where its delay keeps the Blimp or delivered troops inside active defensive coverage.

Planning against TH17 Air Attacks

Air threats may include Electro Dragons, Balloons, Dragons, flying Heroes and air-supported Siege Machines. A Legend layout should preserve air damage in more than one section.

Use Controlled Chain Spacing

Separate important buildings enough to reduce Electro Dragon chain value. Avoid excessive spacing that creates isolated defenses and simple cleanup.

Control Balloon Paths

Review movement between defensive targets and preserve Air Bombs or splash damage for Balloons that survive the opening section.

Protect Air Defenses

One Hero entry should not remove an Air Defense, Sweeper, Firespitter and another major objective together.

Preserve Back-End Air Damage

Air Defenses, Inferno Towers, Firespitters and defensive Heroes should continue applying pressure after the first air section falls.

Planning against TH17 Ground Attacks

Ground armies may use Heroes, high-hitpoint troops, Miners, Hog Riders, summoned units, wall-opening tools and spells to create a controlled route through the village.

Use Varied Compartments

Combine different compartment sizes and offset walls. One opening should not create direct access through the Town Hall, Monolith, Spell Towers and every major splash defense.

Distribute Splash Damage

Separate important area-damage defenses so grouped troops continue facing pressure after the first compartment is destroyed.

Protect Hero Routes

One Hero entry should not remove the Town Hall, defensive Heroes, Monolith and another important defense together.

Preserve Final-Section Damage

Keep meaningful single-target, splash and Hero pressure away from the opening so surviving troops still face resistance near the end.

Recommended Trap Principles for TH17 Legend Bases

Trap placement should follow realistic troop, Hero and Siege Machine routes. These ideas are starting principles rather than guaranteed combinations.

  • Tornado Trap near active defenses: use its delay where nearby towers can continue attacking a Blimp, Hero or troop group.
  • Seeking Air Mines on probable approaches: cover likely Battle Blimp, Dragon, Balloon and flying-Hero routes.
  • Air Bombs on grouped flight paths: position them where Balloons or other flying troops are likely to collect.
  • Giant Bombs on defensive paths: place them where Miners, Hog Riders or support troops are likely to travel.
  • Spring Traps on important crossings: use realistic troop movement rather than filling arbitrary wall gaps.
  • Skeleton Trap modes: choose ground or air according to the Hero, troop or Siege route being defended.
  • Preserve back-end traps: avoid committing every trap to the Town Hall or opening section.

How to Compare TH17 Legend League Layouts

  • Check your Legend tier: account for its tournament structure and Battle Modifiers.
  • Inspect Town Hall access: determine whether a Hero or Siege Machine can reach it too cheaply.
  • Review Firespitter directions: confirm that their cones cover attractive entries and follow-up routes.
  • Check Air Sweeper directions: make sure they influence realistic air and Blimp approaches.
  • Inspect defensive Hero assignments: confirm that the selected defenders support important sections.
  • Review major-defense separation: one push should not remove every high-value defensive objective.
  • Check the Giga Bomb route: determine whether likely ground attacks will cross it and whether active defenses support its pushback.
  • Inspect trap distribution: traps should cover several likely routes rather than one predictable entry.
  • Review outside percentage: avoid giving attackers a completely safe funnel and cleanup route.
  • Check the back end: meaningful defensive damage should remain after the opening and Town Hall sections fall.

How to Use TH17 Legend League Copy Links

Select a TH17 Legend League base copy link to open the design in the Clash of Clans Layout Editor. Confirm that every available building, defense, wall and trap has been placed before saving the base.

After copying, review both Firespitter directions, Air Sweeper directions, Inferno Tower modes, Spell Tower settings, Skeleton Trap modes, defensive Hero assignments and the Giga Bomb position.

Confirm that the design is selected as your active Ranked defensive layout. Layout changes must be completed before battling begins. Changes made later apply to the following tournament or, in Legend I, the following League Day.

A working one-tap copy link makes installation easier, but it does not prove that the layout has been tested against top-ranked players or guarantee the same result in every Legend tier.

How to Measure TH17 Legend Defense Results

Compare several defenses instead of choosing only the best or worst replay. Look for patterns that reveal repeatable structural problems.

  • Average stars conceded: compare whether the layout produces consistent results across several attacks.
  • Average destruction: use percentage to compare bases that concede the same number of stars.
  • Repeated entry sides: record whether attackers consistently choose the same Town Hall, Blimp or Hero route.
  • Firespitter blind areas: identify whether attacks regularly avoid one or both active cones.
  • Back-end survival: review which defenses remain active and whether they meaningfully affect the final troops.
  • Attack-family distribution: note whether you mainly face air spam, Balloon attacks, Hero entries or ground pushes.

Common TH17 Legend League Base Mistakes

  • Claiming protection against every meta: Battle Modifiers, balance changes and player preferences can change common attacks.
  • Using replay-tested language without records: do not make testing claims unless documented results and methods exist.
  • Judging one defense: one attack provides too little information to measure consistent performance.
  • Creating an overloaded core: one Blimp or central push may remove several major defenses together.
  • Ignoring Firespitter directions: the defenses may point away from the routes attackers actually use.
  • Expecting a Town Hall death explosion: TH17 uses a separate visible Giga Bomb.
  • Placing the Giga Bomb on an unused route: attackers may avoid it without changing their plan.
  • Grouping defensive Heroes: one spell-supported push may control all defenders together.
  • Stacking every air trap near the Town Hall: alternate entries and the back end may receive little pressure.
  • Leaving easy outside percentage: attackers may build a clean funnel without entering meaningful defensive coverage.
  • Changing layouts too frequently: insufficient results make repeated weaknesses difficult to identify.
  • Editing after battling begins: the change may not apply until the following tournament or League Day.

When Should You Adjust a TH17 Legend Layout?

Review several defenses and look for the same Battle Blimp route, Hero entry, Firespitter blind side, air chain, ground path or weak final section.

Begin with one focused adjustment. Change a Firespitter or Air Sweeper direction, revise a wall opening, move an exposed defense, separate two chainable buildings, update a defensive Hero position or redistribute one trap group.

Review additional defenses after the change. Confirm that the adjustment reduces the original weakness without creating a simpler route for another common strategy.

Should You Rotate TH17 Legend Bases?

Rotate a layout when repeated defensive results reveal a structural weakness, when a different Legend tier or modifier changes the attack environment, or when the same prepared entry appears consistently.

Do not rotate automatically every week. A layout that continues to control average stars and destruction may only require a targeted setting or trap adjustment.

How These TH17 Legend League Layouts Are Reviewed

Layouts may be community-submitted or editorially reviewed for their Town Hall level, visible structure, Legend category relevance, image quality and copy-link availability. Review may include Town Hall access, Firespitter coverage, defensive Hero assignments, Blimp routes and back-end strength.

Publication does not automatically mean that a layout has undergone controlled testing against top-ranked attackers. Any layout specifically described as tested should be supported by documented defensive results and a clear process.

Read the layout review methodology for information about submissions, editorial checks, corrections and testing labels.
