Outer collectors and support buildings act as a buffer. They give up some percentage, but they also buy time for the real defenses to work while the key loot stays protected behind walls.
Core Defense Pressure
The middle of the base is where this layout gets its value. There is a lot of short-range overlap around the core, and the compartment shape makes it difficult to move straight through without stalling. Once troops enter, they are likely to be pulled into defensive fire from several directions rather than walking cleanly from one high-value target to the next.
That is especially useful against casual farming attacks, where players often rely on direct entry and fast access to storages. This base does not hand over that kind of route easily.
Ground Attack Pathing
Ground armies will usually need a proper funnel here. The side compartments and angled walls make simple line pushes less reliable, and troops can drift around the core if support is not timed correctly. Hog, hybrid, or root rider style attacks can still break through, but they need controlled access points. Without that, troops may split around the central compartments instead of collapsing directly onto the loot.
The lower half also looks built to slow a straight push upward, with defenses placed to keep pressure on anything trying to move through the narrow lanes.
Air Attack Considerations
This is not a dedicated anti-air layout, but it still has some useful anti-spam traits. The diamond shape reduces easy full-base sweeps, and the compact center can punish balloons or dragons that drift too deep without support. Air attacks that do best here will usually be the ones that carve one side first and then send troops through a planned lane.
Electro Dragon players may find some chain value because of the compact structure, so that is one of the more realistic concerns with this design. Even so, the layered shape means poor funneling can still ruin the attack before it reaches all of the storages.

This layout is a good fit for TH15 players who care more about protecting resources than spreading for trophy defense. It keeps the important loot inward, uses a tight defensive core, and makes casual farm raids less efficient.
