Strategy Explanation

This TH8 war layout uses a diamond core with staggered, jagged compartments to split troops and deny clean pathing to the Town Hall. The Town Hall, Clan Castle, and Dark Elixir Storage sit in the innermost box, wrapped by a second ring that holds high-HP storages and key splash. The outer ring mixes point defenses and splash to force attackers to burn spells early, while collectors and small buildings around the perimeter create a trash layer that slows funnels. It’s built to defend stars first: make the 2-star grindy and the 3-star unlikely, while still keeping farming value by tucking most storages behind at least one wall.

The base shines against sloppy GoWiPe and Hog attacks troops get pulled sideways by the stepped walls, and heal/rage placement becomes awkward. Air is covered by a triangle of Air Defenses and Wizard Towers around the core, making mass drags need perfect spells.

Around that, Wizard Towers and Air Defenses alternate to cover both ground swarms and Dragons. Mortars sit in outer compartments for wide splash, while Archer Towers and Cannons anchor each side for even DPS. Camps, mines, and collectors are fanned along the outside especially up top to slow funnels and steal attacker time.

Trap and CC Recommendations

  • Place Double Giant Bomb pairs between inner-ring defenses on likely Hog paths (opposite the Bomb Tower and near a Wizard Tower).
  • Use Spring Traps at narrow wall gaps between Cannons/Archer Towers where pathing forces troops to step through.
  • Stack Air Bombs near Wizard Towers; keep Seeking Air Mines off-angle from ADs to catch Dragons after first Rage.
  • Clan Castle: Dragon + Archers, or Witch + Valk + Archers for mixed threat. Both are hard to lure from this center.

War and Farming Tips

  • Scout for likely entry and swap a Giant Bomb toward that side before war attacks start.
  • For farming, keep at least two storages in the inner ring and rotate collectors outside to bait weak snipes.
  • During wars, set Skeleton Traps to air if the enemy favors Dragons; switch to ground against Hog-heavy clans.
  • Barbarian King should guard the side opposite your Bomb Tower to force split commitment.
