Strategy Explanation

This TH8 war base is a tilted-diamond with a compact multi-compartment core. The Town Hall sits at the very center with traps clustered around it, while high-value splash (Bomb Tower and Wizard Towers) and the Dark Elixir Storage are tucked just a ring out from the core. Storages are split across opposite compartments to act as beefy buffers and mess up pathing. Mortars, Archer Towers, and Cannons are spread on the outer diamond to keep DPS even on every entry.

The Air Defenses form a solid triangle inside the inner ring, not huggable from the edge. The Air Sweeper points along a long diagonal to push air troops through the heart of the base rather than past it. Small 2x2 pockets and narrow channels between defenses are deliberate trap spots: you can see air bombs inside the center, with likely spring/giant-bomb slots in the corridors that connect the ring to the core.

As a whole, it’s built to waste time and deny a clean funnel. Attackers are baited to enter from a corner, only to find split compartments and storages dragging troops sideways while splash and point defenses crossfire from the opposite angle. That makes it tough to convert a strong 2-star into a 3-star.

  • Anti-Dragon at TH8: Triangular ADs are tucked in; Sweeper pressure and central air traps pull Dragons into long paths under Wizard Tower and Air Defense overlap.
  • Hog pathing punishment: Bomb Tower near the core plus tight corridors for springs and potential double-giant-bomb pockets force healing at bad timings.
  • Anti-3 star design: Offset storages and many compartments cause Kill Squads and Pekkas to wander; back-end defenses remain standing to stop cleanup.
  • Clan Castle hard to pull: Positioned near center so lures require investment or a deep entry, especially from the short sides of the diamond.
  • Balanced coverage: Archer/Cannon pairs ring the outside for steady DPS; Mortars protect funnel corners versus mass Barbs/Archers.

Trap Notes

  • Keep Seeking Air Mines near two of the Air Defenses; leave one AD “lighter” to bait a Dragon entry into Sweeper push.
  • Place at least one double-giant-bomb between inner-ring defenses, not on the outer edge. Pair a spring trap on each approach channel.
  • Centralize red air bombs around the Town Hall to punish Balloons on cleanup.

1 Baby Dragon + 2 Valks + Archers or Dragon + Archers. Both are hard to lure and force poison/kill squad commitments.

War Tips & Tweaks

  • Swap a Wizard Tower with a Mortar if your clan faces heavy Hog users.
  • Stagger Builder Huts to corners for time pressure; this base already spreads trash buildings well around the diamond.
  • Scout for likely Quake entries; shift Giant Bombs to the anticipated path the night before war attacks land.
