Strategy Explanation

This TH16 war base uses a wide diamond shape with the Town Hall placed on the lower side rather than sitting loose on the edge. The layout tries to make the attacker choose between an early Town Hall grab and better value through the upper core. That choice is what makes it useful as an Anti 3 Stars war badr in clash of clans. If they dive low, they still have to move through heavy defenses and traps. If they start high, the Town Hall remains a problem late in the hit.

The walls break the village into angled lanes, so troops do not get a clean straight path through the middle. Heroes, Infernos, Scattershots, X-Bows, and TH16 merged defenses are spread in a way that pulls armies sideways. This is especially annoying against Root Rider spam, Queen Charge Lalo, and smash attacks that need reliable pathing.

Strengths

  • Lower Town Hall pressure: the Town Hall is reachable, but not cheap. A small hero dive or blimp still needs support to survive the surrounding damage.
  • Good anti 3 star shape: the base forces attackers to spend time crossing the map after securing one major objective.
  • Split core value: key defenses are not all stacked in one easy poison or freeze area.
  • Strong side lanes: the left and right defense groups can drag troops away from the main path.
  • Useful for CWL: it is a practical clash of clans building layout when you want fewer clean triples, not just a flashy screenshot.

Lower Town Hall Trap Value

The bottom section is the main test. The Town Hall sits behind enough structure that a simple one-troop check will not solve it. Bombs, seeking air mines, tornado placement, and poison coverage should punish Battle Blimp, Warden ability, and late hero dives. For best results, use a defensive Clan Castle that slows heroes near the Town Hall path, such as Ice Golems, Super Minions, or a mix that forces extra spells.

Upper Entry Bait

The top of the base looks tempting because it offers hero and defense value, but it does not automatically give the attacker the Town Hall. That is important. Many bases in coc fail because one strong entry opens the whole village. Here, the upper side can take time while the lower Town Hall remains alive, which often turns a planned triple into a high two-star.

Side Pathing and Hero Control

The left and right sections are not just filler. They create awkward movement for ground troops and make the Archer Queen or Royal Champion drift if the funnel is weak. This matters against Root Riders and Yetis because those armies depend on moving as one pack. Once the pack splits, Scattershots, Infernos, and Multi-Archer Towers get more time to work.

Best Armies to Defend Against

This base for coc is mainly aimed at war attacks that rely on momentum: Root Rider spam, Super Bowler smash, Queen Charge Lalo, and Hero Dive into blimp. The separated defense islands make spell timing harder. It also works as one of those coc bases you can rotate into CWL when opponents keep using the same safe spam plans.

Copy Layout Notes

If you use the copy layout option, check that traps and heroes transfer correctly before war day. Small changes can weaken this base on clash of clans, especially around the Town Hall and side funnels. Players may search this style as clash of clans bases, clash of coc, coc of clans, clasher coc, or even of clans clash and clash and clans, but the real value is simple: it gives TH16 attackers an uncomfortable route to the triple.
