Strategy Explanation
This TH16 war base is a tilted-diamond box with stacked compartments that force attackers to chew through layers before they ever touch the core. The Town Hall sits dead-center with the Clan Castle, guarded by the Monolith and ringed by X-Bows and Builder Huts. Two Scattershots anchor the inner ring on opposite diagonals, while Air Defenses are spaced in the mid ring at each side to create overlapping anti-air zones. The Eagle Artillery is tucked in the upper-left interior, not easily sniped, and protected by multiple walls.
Pathing is the whole point here: outside compartments at 12/3/6/9 are filled with storages and utility buildings to pull heroes and E-Drags sideways. Channels between the first and second wall layers steer troops into side boxes where Multi/Inferno compartments and ground traps wait. Sweepers are aimed across the Town Hall lanes, pushing air from opposite directions so Electro Dragons can’t chain freely into the core on a straight line. A visible Tesla cluster along the 6 o’clock edge adds late DPS and punishes shallow hero dives.
For wars, the optimal defense comes from denying blimp value. With the core stacked—TH, CC, Monolith, and Scatters on diagonals—Stone Slammer or Blimp entries from either flank face Sweeper push plus mid-ring Air Defenses. Even if the blimp lands, there’s little safe spot to secure both Town Hall and a Scatter without heavy spells.

Defense Notes vs Popular Armies
- Electro Dragons: Start sweeper-facing to push chains sideways; the mid-ring Air Defenses keep drags split. Your Tesla line at 6 o’clock disrupts early funneling heroes.
- Queen Charge Lalo: The CC/Monolith/Scatter core forces heavy spell use. As long as the charge enters a side box, it tends to miss the TH on first pass.
- Root Rider + Smash: Tight inner boxes and diagonals cause Riders to hop awkwardly; Scatters punish stalled healers.
Recommended Trap Placements
- Tornado: One tile in front of the Town Hall on the most common blimp landing spot (between TH and a Scatter) to hold sneaky goblins/yeti-bombs under Giga Poison.
- Seeking Air Mines: Stack two on the long blimp approach from 2–3 o’clock; sprinkle singles behind each Air Defense for healer snipes.
- Spring Traps: In the narrow side channels that lead into the Inferno compartments to flip Root Riders/Hogs.
Attack Caller Scouting Tips
- Check Sweeper arrows and plan your blimp path accordingly; remove a Sweeper before committing Warden ability.
- Probe for Teslas at 6 o’clock with a few balloons; losing your funnel heroes there hurts the plan.
- If zapping a Scatter, confirm you’re not unlocking an easy channel to the Town Hall—keep the defender’s “anti-2” pathing intact to avoid accidental 3-star setups.
