Strategy Explanation

This TH13 anti 3 star hybrid base uses a compact diamond-style core with the Town Hall, Clan Castle, Eagle Artillery, Scattershots and Inferno Towers all protected by multiple wall layers. The main idea is simple: attackers can reach something valuable, but they should not get everything valuable from the same push. That is what makes the layout useful for both regular defense and clan war style hits.

The Town Hall sits inside the main defensive area rather than being left exposed, so a lazy spam attack still has to commit troops, spells or a Battle Blimp to secure it. Around it, the heavy defenses are spread across the base instead of being stacked in one easy spell zone. This helps against Electro Dragons, Yetis, Super Bowlers and Hybrid attacks because the attacker has to keep moving through turns and split damage, not just walk straight through one side.

For a hybrid base, the storages are also placed well. They are not all sitting on the outside as free percentage, and they add extra hitpoints around important defenses. That slows Miners, Hog Riders, Heroes and ground spam long enough for Scattershots, Infernos, X-Bows and traps to do real work.

Strengths

  • Strong core protection: The Town Hall and major defenses are not easy to grab without a serious commitment.
  • Good anti 3 star structure: Defensive value is split across the base, making it harder for one Queen Charge or one Blimp push to decide the raid early.
  • Useful hybrid value: Storages are placed inside the defensive ring, so the base protects loot better than a pure war layout.
  • Awkward pathing: The wall shapes and small defensive pockets can pull troops sideways, especially Bowlers, Yetis and Heroes.
  • Air coverage is layered: Air Defenses, Archer Towers, X-Bows and splash defenses are spread enough to punish simple air spam.

Core Value Protection

The main strength of this coc base layout is how much value is protected near the middle without making the base too easy to spell. The Town Hall is supported by the Clan Castle and nearby splash damage, while the Eagle and Infernos add pressure from different angles. If an attacker enters from the bottom, they still need to deal with the upper defenses later. If they start from the top, they are not guaranteed a clean Town Hall finish.

This kind of core works well at TH13 because attackers often rely on one big push to remove the Town Hall and Scattershot value together. Here, that push has to fight through walls, storages, traps and defensive overlap before it can fully break the base open.

Inferno and Scattershot Spread

The Inferno Towers and Scattershots are not placed in one neat group, which is important for anti 3 star defense. When splash and beam damage are separated, Freeze spells become less efficient. An attacker may freeze one Inferno, but another high-damage defense keeps firing from a different angle.

This is especially useful against Yetis, Witches and Super Bowlers. Those armies want to roll through a base with Rage and Warden ability, but separated heavy defenses force them to keep spending spells after the ability ends. Against air attacks, the Scattershots also help punish Balloons and support troops once they move toward the core.

Ground Attack Pathing

The walls create several turns around the main base, which can make ground troops drift away from the intended target. This is good against Hog Riders and Miners because they do not always stay packed together when defenses are offset. If the attacker does not trim the outside properly, part of the army can walk around the ring while the main force gets stuck fighting storages and heroes.

King and Queen value is also harder to claim cleanly because the heroes are supported by nearby defenses. A simple hero dive may get some percentage, but it should not automatically open the entire base unless the attacker invests spells and siege support.

Air Defense and Electro Dragon Control

The layout has a sensible spread for defending air spam. Electro Dragons prefer straight chains through high-value buildings, but this base breaks up some of that value with spacing and wall-separated defensive zones. The Air Defenses and X-Bows cover different lanes, while outside buildings help pull Dragons and E-Drags away from the fastest route into the core.

It is not an anti Electro Dragon only base, but it does make casual E-Drag spam less comfortable. Attackers still need to choose a proper line, support with Balloons and manage Freezes carefully around the Town Hall and Inferno areas.

Best Use and Copy Layout Notes

This TH13 hybrid base is a good choice if you want one layout that can handle daily defenses while still being annoying in war or CWL. It will not stop every skilled attacker, but it gives you a balanced mix of Town Hall safety, resource protection and anti 3 star pressure.
