TH13 Anti 2 Star COC Base Layout with Protected Town Hall
Latest Reviews
Strategy Explanation
This TH13 anti 2 star COC base layout is built around making the Town Hall awkward to reach. The Town Hall is placed inside the main protected area rather than offered near the edge, so attackers cannot grab it with a small hero dive or a cheap siege entry. They have to commit a real part of the army, and that is exactly what an anti 2 star base should force.
The layout uses a broad, angled shape with several wall layers around the middle. That matters because troops do not get a simple straight walk into the Town Hall. If the funnel is not clean, ground armies can drift into side rooms and burn time fighting storages, point defenses, and traps. For air attacks, the base gives fewer easy chain paths than a tight blocky village, which helps against Electro Dragons and loose Dragon spam.
Strengths
- Town Hall protection: The main win condition is guarded by walls, defenses, and surrounding buildings, making a quick Town Hall grab unlikely.
- Good anti 2 star value: Attackers often need siege, heroes, spells, or a full push just to secure the first star from the Town Hall.
- Spread defensive coverage: X-Bows, Infernos, Archer Towers, Cannons, and splash defenses are not all sitting in one easy-to-freeze area.
- Time pressure: Outer buildings and separated rooms make cleanup slower, especially if the attacker starts with a narrow funnel.
- Useful for war and CWL scouting traps: It can punish players who enter without planning a clear path to the Town Hall.
Core Town Hall Protection
The biggest feature here is the protected Town Hall area. At TH13, the Giga Inferno is one of your strongest anti 2 star tools, but only if the attacker has to fight for it. This layout keeps the Town Hall away from the outside edge and surrounds it with enough defensive pressure that a simple Wall Wrecker or hero walk will not always get the job done.
The Clan Castle and major defenses near the middle also help because enemy troops can get held up while the Town Hall weapon, Infernos, and X-Bows keep firing. If the attacker mistimes the Grand Warden ability, the Town Hall blast can remove a large part of the push.
Ring Pathing and Funneling Pressure
The base has a ring-style feel, with several separated rooms around the middle. This is useful against players who rely on spam troops because those armies need a clean lane. If the funnel breaks, troops can move around the sides instead of driving into the Town Hall.
This is especially important for Yetis, Bowlers, Pekkas, and hybrid attacks. Hogs and Miners can still work, but they need good spell timing and pathing. If the attacker starts from the wrong side, they may collect percentage while still failing to secure the Town Hall early enough.
Air Defense and Electro Dragon Control
For air defense, the layout benefits from spacing. The important defenses and storages are not stacked in one tight line, so Electro Dragon chains are less clean than they would be on a compact base. Air Defenses and X-Bows cover multiple lanes, while splash defenses help clear Balloons and Dragons when they slow down near the middle.
If you copy this layout, check your Air Sweeper direction after placing it. For anti 2 star play, at least one Sweeper should make the most direct Town Hall air entry uncomfortable. The goal is not to stop every Dragon hit; it is to make the attacker spend extra spells before they can lock onto the Town Hall.
Best Use Cases
This TH13 layout fits war, CWL, and defensive trophy play when your main concern is stopping easy 2 stars. It is a good choice against average attackers who depend on Electro Dragons, Yetis, or siege-first plans without carefully building a funnel.
It is less ideal if you only care about protecting Dark Elixir or if your clan needs a pure anti 3 star war base. The shape is built to make the Town Hall expensive, not to bait every possible triple attempt.
Copy Layout Notes
Use the copy layout option if you want the base structure quickly, but do a quick trap check before running it in war. Put Seeking Air Mines near likely Blimp or Dragon paths, keep Giant Bombs where Hogs and Miners are forced to travel, and avoid leaving obvious gaps around the Town Hall side.
If your defenses are underleveled, keep the same wall shape and Town Hall protection first. Upgrading Scattershots, Infernos, X-Bows, and Air Defenses will make this anti 2 star layout much more reliable at TH13.
