Strategy Explanation

This TH13 War Base uses a tight central core with the Town Hall placed deep inside a layered ring of compartments. The main defensive idea is simple: force attackers to commit heavily into the middle while taking damage from several angles on the way in. The core is packed with high-value defenses, while the outer sections are split into enough compartments to break clean pathing for both air and ground armies.

The Town Hall sits in the middle with Inferno Towers and other point defenses close by, so any push that reaches the core still has to survive concentrated damage. The Scattershots are not stacked directly on top of each other, which helps the layout avoid giving easy value to one entry. X-Bows and Wizard Towers are also spread through the inner ring, creating steady coverage instead of leaving one side too light.

From the image, this base looks built to punish attackers who try to cut a straight lane through the center. Ground armies are likely to get pulled sideways by the compartments, while air armies do not get a simple line across major defenses. The outside structure also adds a bit of drag to funneling, especially when heroes or a Queen Charge need to clear enough buildings before the main push starts.

If the defensive structure fits your current war setup, you can use the copy-layout option to place it directly in Clash of Clans and test how your clanmates attack it.

Strengths

This layout does a good job of protecting the Town Hall and making the final section of the attack uncomfortable. It is clearly aimed at preventing smooth triples rather than just baiting for a low percentage hit.

  • Central Town Hall: the Town Hall is not exposed, so attackers need a real commitment to remove it.
  • Layered compartments: troops do not get a clean sweep through the base without dealing with wall breaks or jump placement.
  • Good defensive spread: key defenses are distributed well enough that one entry does not remove everything important.
  • Strong core pressure: once troops step into the middle, they are under fire from several compact defenses at once.
  • Solid anti-3 shape: the diamond-style structure helps prevent simple edge-to-edge pathing.

Core Defense Value

The strongest part of this TH13 base is the middle. The Town Hall is surrounded by high-threat defenses and protected by several compartments before attackers can fully establish control there. This setup is especially useful in war because many attacks can reach the core, but not every attack can hold enough troop strength after doing it.

That matters against Hybrid, Yeti Smash, and similar TH13 pushes. Even when they break in, they still have to fight through the Giga Inferno area while point defenses and splash continue working around them.

Queen Charge Entry Points

The most natural Queen Charge angles look like the left or right side compartments where the Queen can target outer defenses first and then be shaped inward. The layout tries to make that awkward by spacing structures and forcing the Queen to choose between side value and central value. If the charge does not take the correct wall layer, it can drift around the ring instead of stepping directly toward the Town Hall.

That said, attackers who create a tight funnel with King and Siege support may still find a path inward. This is one of the more realistic pressure points of the base.

Ground Attack Pathing

Against ground armies, the compartment design is the main feature. Rooted pathing through the center is not automatic, and troops can split if the funnel is late or uneven. That is useful against Pekka Smash, Hybrid, and other war attacks that depend on clean movement between major defenses.

The lower side of the base also looks like a tempting entry because of accessible buildings along the edge, but a push from there still has to deal with inner defensive layers before it reaches the Town Hall. If the attacker enters too wide, the army can lose shape before the core fight starts.

Air Attack Considerations

This layout is fairly compact in the middle, but it does not give a simple straight-line path for Dragons or Electro Dragons. The spread of Air Defenses and inner damage means air armies need good spell timing once they commit. Since the Town Hall is central, air attacks that drift around the outside can run out of pace before securing the most important compartment.

There is still some chain value on the tighter sections of the base, so Electro Dragon players may test entries where buildings sit close across compartment lines. Even so, the overall shape is better at slowing follow-through than many open ring bases.

War Use and Practical Fit

This is a solid choice for regular wars and TH13 CWL rounds where you want an anti-3-star layout with a dependable core. It is not trying to bait one of
