Strategy Explanation

This TH11 anti 3 star layout is built around a tight diamond shape with the high-value defenses protected behind several layers of walls. The Eagle Artillery sits in the middle of the base, forcing attackers to commit real spells, heroes, or siege value if they want to remove it early. The Town Hall and core defenses are not sitting on an easy straight line, which helps break up simple spam paths.

The base uses a mix of small compartments and angled wall sections to make troops walk awkwardly. Hog Riders and Miners do not get a smooth loop through the middle, while a Queen Charge has to deal with overlapping damage and limited access to the core. The Inferno Towers are placed on opposite sides and set to multi-target, which fits the anti 3 star idea well at TH11 because it punishes Hybrid, Witches, Bowlers, and mass troop pushes.

Strengths

  • Strong central value protection: the Eagle Artillery is not easy to snipe without entering the base properly.
  • Good anti-pathing shape: the diamond layout can pull troops around the core instead of letting them drive straight through.
  • Split X-Bow setup: top X-Bows cover air while lower X-Bows add ground pressure, giving the base balanced coverage.
  • Multi Inferno pressure: useful against Witches, Miners, Hogs, Bowlers, and lower-hitpoint support troops.
  • Layered compartments: attackers need good wall breaks, jumps, or siege control to reach the important defenses cleanly.

Diamond Core and Eagle Protection

The main reason this base works as an anti 3 star layout is the protected middle. The Eagle Artillery is surrounded by walls, defenses, and traps instead of being placed near an edge. That means the attacker usually has to choose between spending a major entry just for the Eagle or leaving it active for too long. Both choices can be uncomfortable in war.

The diamond structure also changes troop movement. Instead of walking in a clean square path, troops often hit corners, split into side compartments, or drift around storage and defense islands. That can separate tanks from damage dealers, which is exactly what you want from a TH11 defense base.

X-Bow and Inferno Tower Coverage

The X-Bows are not all doing the same job here. The upper X-Bows are set to air and ground, giving extra protection against Dragons, Electro Dragons, Balloons, and air support troops. The lower X-Bows are set to ground, adding more sustained damage into Queen Charges, Miners, Hogs, and Bowler pushes.

The two multi Infernos sit wide enough that one Freeze spell does not cover everything, but close enough to influence attacks moving through the middle lanes. This is especially helpful against Hybrid-style attacks where Healers, Miners, and Hogs need to stay connected through the core.

Queen Charge and Hybrid Pathing

A Queen Charge has to work through several layers before getting meaningful core value. There are enough point defenses and awkward wall angles to make wall breaker timing important, and the defending heroes near the middle can add extra pressure if the attacker enters too deeply.

For Hybrid, the base tries to avoid giving a clean lane from one side to the other. If the Queen does not remove the right compartment first, Miners and Hogs can split around the diamond and lose Warden ability value. This is where the spring traps and bombs near the inner routes can do real work.

Best Use and Copy Layout Notes

This is a good TH11 copy layout for regular wars, CWL preparation, or players who want a defensive base focused more on stopping triples than protecting every resource. After copying it, make sure your Clan Castle is filled with defensive troops that punish long entries, such as Ice Golem, Witch, Baby Dragon, or mixed damage troops.

If you use this base for several wars, review the replays and adjust seeking air mines or spring traps based on where your opponents enter most often. The structure is solid, but trap tuning is what usually turns a close TH11 defense into a failed 3 star attempt.
