Strategy Explanation

This TH11 war base uses a wide diamond shape with the main value stacked through the middle instead of sitting in one easy-to-reach box. The Town Hall is placed high inside the core, while the central defenses and Clan Castle area make direct pathing messy for spam armies. Attackers who come in from the top still have to break through layered compartments before reaching the lower core value, and attacks from the bottom can get pulled across the base rather than moving cleanly into the Town Hall.

The layout is clearly built with anti 3 star war defense in mind. It does not rely on hiding everything in the center. Instead, it spreads key defenses across connected compartments, forcing attackers to spend spells early or accept that troops will split. That is especially useful against Electro Dragons, Dragons, Witches, and general TH11 spam hits.

Strengths

  • Diamond compartment shape makes it harder to create a straight, predictable push through the full base.
  • Air defenses are spread out, so Electro Dragons and Dragons cannot remove all air coverage with one short path.
  • Core value is layered, with Inferno, X-Bow, Eagle/central defense pressure and the Clan Castle area forcing spell commitment.
  • Outside buildings are staggered, which can slow funneling and pull troops toward the edges.
  • Good war utility against players who rely on simple line attacks rather than planned entries.

Diamond Core and Town Hall Pathing

The Town Hall being placed in the upper core is important. It tempts attackers to start from the top, but the base does not give them a simple straight lane through the center. Once troops move in, the angled walls and side compartments can drag part of the army left or right. That split is exactly what you want in war defense, because TH11 attacks often fail when the main force loses direction before reaching the final defenses.

The central section also keeps multiple defensive threats close enough to overlap without making them all vulnerable to one spell set. Attackers may get one Inferno or one X-Bow early, but taking the whole core cleanly takes more planning.

Electro Dragon Chain Control

This is a strong part of the layout. The base avoids giving Electro Dragons one long chain through every high-value building. Storages, defenses, and trash are spaced in a way that creates awkward chain angles, especially across the side compartments. Air defenses are not packed together, so a zap or rage entry does not immediately clear the full air defense network.

The Air Sweepers near the center also help disrupt straight Electro Dragon pushes. Even if the attacker starts with a wide funnel, the army can stall while moving across the diamond, giving the air defenses, X-Bows, Archer Towers, and Wizard Towers more time to work.

Trap and Clan Castle Value

The central Clan Castle placement is useful for war because it is not easy to lure cheaply from the edge. That means attackers usually need to commit troops before dealing with defensive reinforcements. Traps around the core and entry lanes can get strong value against Bowlers, Witches, Balloons, and Healers, especially when the attacker sends everything in one group.

If you copy this layout, keep the trap idea consistent: use Seeking Air Mines around likely air entry paths and place Giant Bombs where ground troops are likely to bunch after breaking the first layer.

Best Use for This TH11 Base

Use this as a TH11 war or CWL-style base when you want to defend against common anti 3 star attempts and Electro Dragon spam. It is not a farming layout, since the resource buildings are not the priority. The copy layout option is useful if you want a ready war base with balanced air coverage, but it is worth adjusting traps after a few defenses once you see where attackers prefer to enter.
