TH18 Legend League Base with Offset Town Hall
Latest Reviews
Strategy Explanation
This TH18 Legend League base uses an offset Town Hall on the right side instead of placing it directly in the middle. That changes the attack planning right away: the attacker can aim for the Town Hall early, but doing so does not automatically open the full base. The large walled section on the far right and the separated compartments around the Town Hall make pathing less direct than a simple line-drive entry.
The middle of the layout is broken into several small compartments rather than one open core. Key defenses are spread across the central lane, the upper side, and the lower side, so a single Rage, Freeze, or Overgrowth does not comfortably cover everything. This is the kind of TH18 base layout that tries to stretch an attack across the whole map, which fits the anti 3 star and Legend League purpose better than a compact trophy box.
From the image, the Clan Castle and major core defenses sit away from the outer trash ring, while the Town Hall side is protected by layered buildings and walls. The attacker has to decide whether to commit heroes, a siege machine, or the main army into the right side first. If they go too heavy for the Town Hall, the opposite side of the base can remain alive late. If they start from the left or bottom, they still need a reliable plan to reach the Town Hall before time and troops run out.
Strengths
The strongest part of this base is how it separates star control from total base destruction. Taking the Town Hall does not give clean access to every core defense, and attacking the core first still leaves the Town Hall protected on the side.
- Offset Town Hall: The Town Hall is reachable with commitment, but it is not placed where troops naturally clear the whole base afterward.
- Split compartments: The wall layout creates several turns for ground troops, which can pull Root Riders, heroes, and support troops away from the intended target.
- Spread key defenses: Inferno-style coverage, heavy point defenses, and core defenses are not stacked into one easy spell zone.
- Edge pressure: The outside buildings around the top, bottom, and left sides make funneling important. A weak funnel can send troops walking instead of entering.
Town Hall Access and Star Control
The Town Hall placement is the main identity of this layout. It sits on the right side with walls and nearby defenses making a straight entry costly. In Legend League, this type of setup is useful because many attackers want a safe two-star path before thinking about the triple. Here, the attacker has to spend real resources to secure that first major objective.
A Flame Flinger from the far side does not appear to get free core value quickly because of the spread defenses and edge coverage. A Battle Blimp or Battle Drill style entry toward the Town Hall can work, but it may leave the main army without enough support for the remaining compartments.
Ground Pathing Through the Core
Ground armies have to deal with a base that does not offer one clean channel from edge to edge. The walls form a staggered core, and several defenses are positioned to pull troops sideways. That is especially relevant against Root Rider, hero dive, and smash-style attacks, where keeping the army grouped is important.
The open-looking spaces and separate wall boxes can also create awkward movement after the first layer is broken. If attackers do not set the funnel properly, part of the army may chase outside buildings while the main push gets slowed in the central compartments.
Best Use for This Copy Base
This COC base layout is best suited for TH18 players who want a Legend League defense with anti 3 star intentions rather than a simple resource-protection farming base. It works well for players who like offset Town Hall layouts and do not mind giving attackers a possible Town Hall plan in exchange for making the full clear harder.
Players looking for a TH18 Legend League base can use the copy-layout option to load it quickly, then review trap placement and defensive levels before relying on it for daily league defenses.
