Strategy Explanation

This TH18 layout is built around a dense central section with the Town Hall and major defensive value kept inside layered walls. The base does not give attackers a straight line through the middle. Instead, it uses staggered compartments, small gaps between defense groups, and outside buildings to pull troops away from the core if the funnel is not built properly.

The shape works well for war and Legend League because it makes spam attacks less clean. A player dropping everything from one side still has to deal with offset defensive pockets, side compartments, and high-value defenses that are not all sitting in one easy blimp or charge path. The core is reachable, but it takes commitment, and that is where this base tries to win time.

Strengths

  • Centralized core: the most important section is protected by multiple wall layers, forcing attackers to spend spells, siege value, or hero ability timing to get through.
  • Awkward pathing: the compartments around the core can split troops, especially if the attacker starts with a wide spam funnel.
  • Spread defensive value: key defenses are not stacked in one corner, so a single Flame Flinger, Queen Charge, or early blimp does not remove the whole base.
  • Good anti 3 star profile: the layout is more focused on surviving full clears than simply hiding the Town Hall for a one-star trap.

Core Value Protection

The central area is the main reason this base fits the anti 3 star tag. The Town Hall area is not sitting on the edge, and the surrounding walls create a real tax on attackers. If they send a blimp, they still need to support it properly. If they charge heroes, they need wall access and spell investment. If they spam straight in, troops can stall while side defenses keep firing.

This is especially useful in Legend League where many attacks are fast and template-based. The base asks the attacker to make decisions instead of handing them one obvious entry.

Outer Ring and Funnel Control

The outside ring has enough buildings spread around the edge to make funneling uncomfortable. Attackers who start too wide can lose troops into the corners, while narrow entries risk leaving side compartments alive for the back end. That kind of pathing problem is exactly what you want from a war base: not unbeatable, but annoying enough to turn a clean plan into a messy finish.

The defensive buildings on the edges also help against siege machines. They slow down easy setup plays and can force attackers to commit more than they wanted before reaching the real base.

Best Use for War and Legends

Use this TH18 base when you want a reliable anti 3 star layout rather than a risky trap base. It is a sensible choice for CWL, regular wars, and Legend League days where you expect mixed attacks instead of only one army type.

If you use the copy layout option, test it for a few defenses before locking it into an important war. Watch replays closely: if attackers keep entering from the same side, move a few traps toward that lane while keeping the core structure intact.
