Strategy Explanation

This TH18 Legend League base uses a clean diamond shape with the heaviest value pulled into the middle and protected by layered walls. The Town Hall area sits high inside its own protected ring, while the central section carries most of the damage and trap pressure. That setup forces attackers to make an early choice: commit straight into the core and deal with concentrated defenses, or start wide and risk losing pathing before the army reaches the important buildings.

The layout is not trying to hide everything on the edges. Instead, it spreads enough defenses, storages, and utility buildings around the outside to make funneling slower. In Legend League, where spam attacks are common, that matters. Troops that wander around the diamond waste time, split away from heroes, and arrive at the core in smaller groups.

Strengths

  • Strong central pull: the core is dense enough to punish armies that move through the middle without clean spell timing.
  • Awkward funnel shape: the diamond footprint makes side entries less predictable than a flat box base.
  • Good defensive spread: key damage is not all stacked on one side, so a single push does not remove the whole base.
  • Useful for daily Legend hits: it is built more for consistency than surprise, which is exactly what many TH18 players need on defense.

Town Hall Ring and Core Pathing

The Town Hall is protected by a dedicated ring near the top of the diamond rather than being left on the edge. That makes cheap snipes harder and usually demands a real commitment. The core below it adds a second layer of value, so attackers who grab the Town Hall still have to deal with another heavy defensive pocket afterward.

This is especially useful against straight-line spam. If the attacker starts from the bottom, their troops must cross several compartments before reaching the Town Hall. If they start from the top, they may secure the Town Hall but often leave too much base behind for a clean three-star finish.

Anti-Funnel Outside Spread

The outer buildings are placed in a way that makes the first thirty seconds important. There are enough structures on both flanks to pull heroes, pets, and support troops away from the center if the attacker is careless. That is a common reason Legend attacks finish at high two-star percentages instead of triples.

The side defenses also help against players who rely on a simple corner entry. They have to spend extra time trimming the base before the main push, and that gives the core defenses more time to work once the army finally arrives.

Air and Spam Pressure

The layout keeps air coverage reasonably balanced across the diamond, which helps against Electro Dragon, Dragon, and air-heavy smash attacks. The center is dangerous for slow air armies because they tend to clump over the highest-value area. If the attacker does not protect the push with spells at the right time, the base can remove support troops and leave the main dragons fighting through too much damage.

Ground spam has a similar problem. The walls create small pathing decisions, and the middle does not give troops a free walk from one side to the other. That makes this a practical TH18 copy layout for players who want a reliable Legend League defense without using an overly risky ring base.

Best Use for This Layout

Use this base if you are pushing in Legend League and want a layout that can defend different attack styles instead of focusing on only one matchup. It fits players who see a lot of spam, hero dives, and blimp-based plans. Before using the copy layout option, make sure your traps and defensive Clan Castle match your league range, because those details can decide whether this base holds a two-star or gives up the triple.
