Strategy Explanation
This TH18 layout uses a compact but uneven core to make attackers work for the Town Hall while still spreading enough value across the base to defend like a hybrid. The Town Hall is not sitting on a simple edge grab; it is tucked inside the left-central section with heavy defenses around it, while the opposite side holds another dense defensive block. That split value is important because spam armies cannot take the Town Hall and the whole back end in one clean push.
The walls form several angled compartments instead of one obvious square path. That helps pull troops sideways, especially when attackers start from a corner and expect everything to walk straight through the middle. Storages and high-hitpoint buildings are mixed into the defensive rings, so heroes, Root Riders, Yetis, or air troops can lose time while the core defenses keep firing.
Strengths
- Good anti 2 star setup: the Town Hall area is protected enough that a lazy blimp, hero dive, or rushed ground entry can fail to secure it cleanly.
- Solid anti air coverage: air defenses, sweepers, and heavy point defenses are spread across the layout, which makes Electro Dragon chains less comfortable.
- Hybrid protection: resources are not all stacked in one corner, so the base can work for daily defense while still having war-style compartmenting.
- Awkward pathing: the diagonal shape and boxed defenses create side pulls that can split spam armies before they reach the core.
Offset Town Hall and Core Pressure
The Town Hall placement is the main reason this layout fits the anti 2 star tag. It is close enough to the center to punish weak entries, but not perfectly central, which forces attackers to choose between committing hard for the Town Hall or attacking the heavier defensive side first. If they send a Battle Blimp, they still need to deal with the surrounding damage and possible trap zone. If they walk heroes into it, the wall structure can slow them down and expose healers or support troops.
Anti Electro Dragon Pathing
This is not a wide-open chain base. The important buildings are staggered, and several compartments break up the clean lines Electro Dragon players like to see. The air defenses and air-targeting splash are placed so an E-Dragon push has to travel through multiple damage pockets rather than one straight lane. That does not make it immune to air spam, but it does make poor funneling much more expensive.
Legend League Hybrid Use
For Legend League, this base is practical because it asks for a real plan. Attackers cannot easily grab the Town Hall, heroes, and major defenses from one side without investing spells and siege value. The outside buildings also help disrupt fast spam drops, which is useful when players are attacking quickly through their daily hits. If you use the copy layout option, check your trap locations after a few defenses and move seeking air mines or tornado-style bait toward the side most players are choosing.
Best Defensive Matchups
This layout is best into Electro Dragons, loose air spam, and ground attacks that rely on a simple funnel into the middle. It also has enough resource spread to be comfortable as a hybrid base, not just a one-purpose war design. For CWL or regular wars, it works well as an anti 2 star choice against players who tend to force the Town Hall late instead of planning a clean first phase.
