Strategy Explanation

This TH18 layout is built around an offset Town Hall on the left side of the inner ring rather than a centered Town Hall core. That changes the usual attack flow immediately. Instead of giving attackers one obvious push into the middle, the base spreads key threats across several connected compartments, so committing to the Town Hall does not automatically open the whole base.

The core is dense but not fully stacked. Major defenses are split between the left-center, middle, and right side, with high-value targets protected by narrow channels and layered walls. The Eagle Artillery sits toward the upper-left interior, while the Town Hall and nearby heavy defenses create a dangerous section on the left half. On the opposite side, the right-center compartment packs more damage and utility around another major defensive cluster, which means an attacker who enters from one side still has to survive a second hard phase.

Outer buildings are spaced enough to stretch funneling time, especially along the top and right edges. Ground armies that do not make a clean funnel can drift around the base instead of cutting directly through the core. Air attacks also have to respect the way defenses are staggered instead of lined up in one compact rectangle. This looks intended to make spam attacks less reliable while still keeping enough coverage for Legend League style pressure.

Strengths

The biggest strength here is how the layout divides core value. Taking one important compartment does not immediately unlock the rest of the base, and the offset Town Hall can pull attackers into a path that leaves other major defenses active longer than expected.

  • Offset Town Hall placement: It is protected without being too central, which can bait early commitment and distort pathing.
  • Layered compartments: Multiple small-to-medium sections slow direct ground movement and make wall-break planning more demanding.
  • Good defensive spread: Key defenses are not all stacked in one spell-friendly pocket, so attackers may get less value from one push or one freeze sequence.
  • Awkward right-side pressure: The right half contains another concentrated defensive block, so surviving the Town Hall side is only part of the job.
  • Useful anti-spam shape: The irregular ring and side compartments can cause troops to split if the funnel is not precise.

Ground Attack Pathing

Ground armies are likely to test either the left side toward the Town Hall or the lower-right side toward the denser defensive cluster. The left entry is attractive because it offers direct Town Hall access, but the follow-up is not simple. Troops that secure that section can still walk away from the middle if the top and bottom funnel are not closed properly. That is the main defensive idea: give up a reachable objective while making the second phase messy.

For smash armies, the inner channels can create awkward redirects after the first compartment falls. For Root Riders, the walls matter less, but the spread of major defenses still forces sustained tanking through several zones instead of one clean sweep.

Air Attack Considerations

This base does not present a simple straight-line air route through all premium targets. The Town Hall, Eagle side, and right-center damage are separated enough that a blimp or early dive has to be chosen carefully. Electro Dragon players should also note that the building lines are not especially tight across the whole base. There are still a few spots where chains can bounce, but the overall spacing is less generous than in boxier designs.

Lalo-style plans may prefer carving one flank and sending balloons across the longer defensive path rather than trying to rush the middle immediately. The spread helps the defense because losing one compartment does not instantly collapse air coverage everywhere.

Hero Entry Options

The most natural hero pressure looks to be from the left or lower-left, where the Town Hall side can be challenged without opening the entire base. A Queen Charge from that direction could secure high value, but she would need strong wall access and support to avoid stalling before reaching deeper defenses. Entering from the right offers different value, especially into the heavier defensive concentration, but it also commits heroes into a more dangerous damage pocket earlier.

If you want to test this design yourself, the copy option is worth using for friendly challenges first. It is the kind of layout that shows its value when attackers have to choose between an efficient Town Hall take and a clean full-base route.

Best Use in War and Legend League

This layout fits war use well because it does not hand out a simple, obvious three-star route. It also makes sense for Legend League defense thanks to its broad coverage and the way it asks for clean planning rather than rewarding pure spam. The offset Town Hall, split-
