TH18 Anti 2 Stars Legend League Base with Offset Town Hall
Latest Reviews
Strategy Explanation
This TH18 layout is built around an offset Town Hall on the right side rather than a fully centered core. That immediately changes how attackers approach it. A safe percentage push from one side does not automatically lead into the Town Hall, and a direct Town Hall hit can leave the rest of the base awkward to finish. For Legend League and anti 2-star use, that trade-off makes sense.
The middle of the base is split into several disconnected compartments with open interior space and staggered walls. That structure looks intended to slow ground troops and stop simple straight-line movement through the core. Key defenses are not stacked tightly together, so attackers do not get one easy spell value area from the center. The Town Hall side is protected by multiple nearby defenses and layered compartments, while the central area still applies pressure with major point defenses and splash coverage.
Air pathing also looks deliberately uncomfortable. The Air Defenses and heavier damage are spread across the base instead of sitting in one compact block, which reduces the value of committing everything through a single lane. The right side Town Hall section can pull air armies wide, while the top and left sections still demand cleanup under fire. Electro Dragon players especially have to respect the building spacing in several areas, because the inner gaps and broken compartment lines reduce easy chain value through the middle.
Strengths
The main strength here is how the layout forces a decision between Town Hall access and full-base control. It does not hand both to the attacker on the same route, and that is exactly what you want from an anti 2-star design.
- Offset Town Hall pressure: The Town Hall sits far enough to one side that attackers may need to commit early troops, heroes, or a blimp just to secure it.
- Wide compartment spread: The center is broken into multiple sections, which can disrupt Root Rider and hero movement if funneling is not clean.
- Reduced chain value: Several important areas have enough spacing to make Electro Dragon chains less reliable than on tighter diamond-style layouts.
- Distributed defense coverage: Heavy defenses are not all clumped together, so one spell set or one hero push is less likely to remove the most important defensive layer in a single exchange.
The outer ring also contributes to the plan. There are enough exterior buildings around the edges to create natural drift, especially if an attacker rushes the Town Hall side without shaping the opposite flank first.
Town Hall Side Pressure
The right side is the defining feature of this build. Because the Town Hall sits in a side compartment instead of the exact core, an attacker has to think about angle more than raw strength. A direct entry from that side can secure the main objective, but it tends to pull troops along the edge and away from the best central damage unless the funnel is excellent. That separation is what gives the design anti 2-star value.
If you use the copy option, this is the area worth testing first in friendly challenges. Small changes in nearby building order can noticeably affect whether troops stick to the Town Hall lane or drift around it.
Ground Attack Pathing
Against ground armies, the base appears set up to punish lazy line deployment. The irregular compartment joins in the middle can split heroes and supporting troops, especially when they enter from the bottom or left and meet staggered walls instead of one clean route. Root Riders can still open paths, but they may not always move directly into the highest-value section unless the attacker has already trimmed the edges properly.
The best defensive value comes from forcing the attacker to overcommit into one lane while the opposite side remains alive. That matters in Legend League, where even one surviving section can cut a 3-star attempt down to a safer defense.
Air Attack Considerations
This layout does a decent job of making air armies cover distance. The important anti-air coverage is spread enough that a blimp-supported attack cannot ignore the rest of the map after claiming the Town Hall. The spacing around the core and side compartments also limits the kind of heavy chain damage Electro Dragons want when they enter through compact building lines.
That said, air attackers may still like the clear Town Hall target on the right. If they can secure that section efficiently and preserve enough troops for the back end, the base will rely on its distributed defenses and awkward cleanup paths to hold the final percentage.
Legend League Use
For Legend League defense, this is a practical style if your goal is to make the second star uncomfortable rather than simply hiding every major defense in one compartment. The layout asks for good planning, not just brute force. Attackers can see the Town Hall, but turning that into a smooth high-percent finish is a different,
