Strategy Explanation

This TH18 Legend League base uses a stretched diamond style with multiple offset compartments instead of one easy central push. The Town Hall sits left of center inside its own heavy layer, while the core packs several high-value defenses close enough to support each other but not so close that one spell placement gets everything. The Eagle Artillery is pushed toward the upper side, the Monolith is deeper in the central-right area, and the main damage zones are split across the middle so attackers have to choose which section to commit into first.

The overall idea looks very anti 3 star rather than anti 2 star. It does not rely on one bait compartment. Instead, it forces long pathing through broken channels and staggered compartments, which can make both ground and air armies drift away from ideal targets. Heroes and support defenses are spread in a way that makes it harder to remove one side cleanly and then roll the rest of the base in a straight line.

The outer ring also matters here. Collectors, army buildings, and defensive anchors create several spots where attackers can lose time or miss part of the funnel. If the defensive structure suits your current setup, you can use the copy-layout option to load the base directly into Clash of Clans.

Strengths

This layout does a good job of making the base feel larger than it actually is. The compartments are not symmetrical in a simple way, and the important defenses are spread so that a clean core sweep is difficult.

  • Offset Town Hall: The Town Hall is protected but not centered, which can pull attackers into awkward pathing if they commit too hard from the left side.
  • Split high-value defenses: The Eagle, Monolith, and Inferno coverage are not stacked into one obvious spell target.
  • Wide defensive spread: X-Bows, point defenses, and support towers cover several lanes through the middle compartments.
  • Strong anti-pathing shape: Ground troops are likely to break around compartments instead of moving cleanly across the base.
  • Good Legend League fit: It is built more to deny a smooth triple than to defend one direct entry.

Town Hall Side Pressure

The Town Hall compartment on the left is one of the most important parts of the design. It is not sitting on the edge, but it is close enough to a side entry that a Queen Charge, hero dive, or siege-supported push will naturally look there first. The value is attractive, but the surrounding compartments make that entry less clean than it appears. Even if the Town Hall goes down, the attack still has to reconnect into the middle without breaking shape.

That transition is where this layout can hold. Troops that move from the Town Hall section into the center are likely to split between adjacent compartments unless the funnel is very precise.

Core Compartment Flow

The center of the base is built to stall momentum rather than just stack damage. There are several short compartments with defensive layers that interrupt direct movement. That matters against Root Riders and other ground-heavy compositions that want one smooth line through the middle. Instead of giving them a clean central corridor, this layout creates side steps and turns.

The compact center also makes hero support important for the attacker. If heroes are forced off line or delayed, the main army can lose direction before it reaches the back-end defenses.

Air Attack Considerations

This base is not giving ideal straight-line value to air armies. The angled structure and offset Town Hall can make balloons or dragons drift wide if the entry is not controlled. The upper and right sections do have enough building density to help create a funnel, but that same density can also cause issues if troops chain or drift into side compartments instead of pushing the core.

Electro Dragon players will notice some chain value around the outer right side, where multiple buildings sit fairly close together. Still, the main defensive anchors are not lined up in a simple way, so getting through the base with one sweep is not easy.

Legend League Defensive Use

For Legend League, this is the kind of TH18 base layout that aims to force adaptation. It does not hand out obvious value in one compartment, and it asks attackers to solve both the Town Hall side and the split middle. That makes it useful against players who prefer pre-planned, linear pathing over reactive attacks.

If you want a TH18 Legend League base that leans into awkward movement, protected side objectives, and a spread-out defensive core, this layout makes good sense as a day-to-day defense option.

Best Fit for Defensive Rotation

This base works well in a rotation with other anti 3 star layouts because it pressures different habits than a standard box base. Players who rely on easy funnel lines or direct center access will have to slow down and map the route carefully. That is usually what you want from a regular Legend base
