Strategy Explanation

This TH18 layout has a war-first mindset even though it still keeps a farming-style spread. The picture shows a wide diamond shape with the Town Hall sitting low in the base, a very open-looking central chamber, and several separated defensive pockets around it. That setup makes attackers commit deeper than they want, especially if they are trying to line up a clean Electro Dragon or hybrid-style push.

What makes this one interesting is the way it mixes bait and control. The center looks roomy, almost inviting, but the real defensive pressure is layered around that space rather than stacked right on top of it. That can throw off players who expect one clean spell-heavy punch through the middle. For war and Legend League use, that kind of misread can be enough to turn a planned triple into a shaky two-star.

Strengths

  • Good anti-Electro Dragon structure — the building spacing and split compartments reduce the easy chain value that E-Drags usually want through the core.
  • Strong anti-3-star depth — even after the first layer falls, the attacker still has to solve several separated defensive pockets.
  • Awkward Town Hall timing — the Town Hall sits low enough that attackers often reach it late or have to force the issue with extra spells or a blimp.
  • Hybrid pathing is not clean — Miners and Hogs do not get one smooth loop, especially once they move from the center toward the lower half.
  • Balanced side pressure — both flanks hold enough value that attackers cannot cheaply ignore one side and expect the base to collapse.
  • Useful in Legend League — it can defend against a mix of common ladder armies instead of relying only on one hard counter.

How The Defense Actually Works

The big thing in this picture is the central chamber. A lot of attackers will look at that space and think they can own the middle quickly, but the real problem is what happens right after. The base uses the center more like a traffic zone than a safe landing spot. Troops enter, drift, and then get pulled into side defenses that keep firing from separate compartments. That is why the base feels stronger in actual replays than it might look at first glance.

The Town Hall placement adds another layer to that. It is not sitting in the obvious dead center, so attackers cannot always line up one simple push that gets both the best core value and the safest Town Hall route at the same time. That choice pressure is one of the better anti-3-star traits in the layout.

Air Matchup Notes

Against Dragons and Electro Dragons, the spread matters a lot. There are no long, generous chain lines through the base, and the defensive pockets make it harder for air troops to keep perfect shape. If the funnel is even a little off, the army can split before reaching the most important targets. That is exactly what you want from a war base that claims anti-air value without overstacking one side.

Best Use Case

This base fits war best, but it also makes sense in Legend League for players who want a layout that can defend against both air and hybrid-style attacks. It is a good choice if you want something that feels structured and practical rather than gimmicky.

Replay Review Priorities

  • Watch how players approach the open center — that tells you whether the bait is working or if the middle is giving away too much control.
  • Track Town Hall timing — if attackers are getting it too easily, traps on the approach lanes need more attention.
  • Check for repeated air entry angles — this base gets much better when common Dragon and E-Drag starts are punished early.
  • Review Miner and Hog splits — hybrid failures are one of the biggest signs this layout is doing its job well.

Practical Tips

  • Place black mines on likely blimp or Dragon lanes — not just beside Air Defenses, but on the routes attackers naturally trust.
  • Keep giant bombs near lower transition points — that is where hybrid attacks are most likely to lose shape.
  • Do not overedit the center — the open middle is part of the trap, and tightening it too much can actually make the base easier to read.
  • Test against Queen Charge and Hydra first — those are the attacks most likely to reveal whether the current spacing still holds up.

Author Remarks

Making this layout is not an easy task for me but i have done that for my legend league progress and wins, and now i have decided to share this amazing coc layout with you peoples so that everyone can get benefit from it. Thanks
