TH18 Hybrid Base with Split Core Anti 3 Star Defense

Strategy Explanation
This TH18 Hybrid Base uses a spread defensive shape instead of a tight ring or box core. The Town Hall sits off-center toward the upper side, while the Monolith, Infernos, and other key defenses are split across multiple compartments through the middle. That setup looks built to deny clean phase value from a single entry and force attackers to commit deeper before they can line up the most important defenses.
The layout creates uneven pathing from almost every side. Ground armies do not get a simple straight push into the Town Hall because the walls angle attackers across several junctions first. At the same time, the right and lower sections hold enough defensive weight that air armies cannot just drift across one side and claim the rest for free. The central compartments are tight enough to keep pressure on anything moving through them, but the overall village remains wide enough to limit easy spell value.
As a hybrid base, it also keeps storages and utility buildings spread around the outer ring rather than exposing all value in one lane. That matters in regular multiplayer because the base is not giving away simple percentage or easy resource snipes while still keeping a war-style anti 3 star structure.
Strengths
The main strength here is how the important defenses are separated without making the base too open. Attackers can reach one section, but taking the full chain of Town Hall, core damage, and back-end defenses in one smooth path looks difficult.
- Offset Town Hall placement makes direct blimp timing and straight hero pushes less comfortable.
- Core defenses are split, so one freeze or rage window does not cover everything important.
- Multiple angled compartments can break Root Rider and smash pathing.
- Wide building spread reduces clean Electro Dragon chains across the whole base.
- Outer resource buildings help the layout work as a hybrid setup, not just a pure war base.
Town Hall Side Pressure
The Town Hall section is one of the more important features in this layout. It is not isolated on the very edge, but it also is not sitting in a plain central box. That middle-ground placement is useful because it tempts attackers to force an early Town Hall take, yet doing that can pull the army off the stronger central line. In practice, that often means an attacker has to choose between securing the Town Hall safely or preserving ideal pathing into the rest of the base.
This is also where the layout gets anti 3 star value. Even if the attacker secures two stars, the army may be left moving sideways rather than carrying momentum through the full base.
Core Compartment Structure
The center of the base is layered with several small and medium compartments instead of one huge block. That is useful against modern TH18 ground hits because it interrupts direct movement and makes troops retarget more often. Infernos and other point damage in these compartments can keep working while the army spends time breaking through the next layer.
Because the core value is not stacked in a single tile area, the attacker does not get ideal value from one jump, one overgrowth window, or one spell pack. This is especially relevant in anti 3 star design where slowing the second half of the attack matters more than simply protecting the Town Hall.
Air Attack Considerations
This base is not giving air armies a clean circle. The spread Air Defense coverage and staggered high-value defenses make it harder for Dragons or Balloons to stay under one spell plan for the entire attack. Electro Dragons also have fewer obvious long chain lines through the center because many compartments are broken up by spaces and angled walls.
That said, attackers may still test the wider flanks first, especially from the right side where they can try to collapse a section and push inward. If you are using the copy-layout option, this is the kind of base that is most useful when you want awkward air pathing rather than a simple anti blimp box.
Ground Entry and Funneling
Ground armies should have a harder time holding shape here than on a more compact TH18 base layout. The outside buildings are spread enough to create funnel pressure, and once troops enter, the angled walls can pull them away from the compartments you actually want them to target. That is a big deal against Root Riders, Valk support, or heavier hero-based entries that depend on smooth progression.
The lower half in particular looks good at forcing late movement across defenses instead of through them. If the attacker loses one side of the funnel early, the army is likely to drift and leave key defenses standing on the back end.
Who This Layout Fits
This layout makes the most sense for players who want one TH18 base layout that can hold resources reasonably well while still making triples harder in war-style attacks. It is not a farm-heavy design and it is not a pure ring troll base either. It sits in the useful middle: enough storage spread for daily defense, enough compartment pressure for anti 3 star value, and a no
