Strategy Explanation

This TH6 war layout runs a compact diamond core with layered, zig‑zag compartments. The Town Hall sits in the middle beside the Clan Castle, wrapped by a tight ring of walls. Two splash defenses sit on opposite sides of the inner ring, while the two Air Defenses are tucked just behind the first layer so they cover each other and the core. Archer Towers and Cannons are staggered around the outer ring for 360° coverage, never stacked side by side. Storages are split and placed mid‑layer to act as HP buffers rather than easy picks on the edge.

The idea is simple: make Giants and Hogs chew through multiple small compartments while taking crossfire, and make Balloon paths awkward so they split and stall over splash/AD coverage. The top edge shows a dedicated trap line (bombs/air bombs/springs) to punish mass troops and catch healers or loons as they approach. Bottom entry is baited with defenses that look accessible, but spring traps and small bombs between the first and second layers punish Giant pushes.

Because the Clan Castle is central, a clean lure is difficult without committing troops. If attackers mismanage the CC pull, the fight happens under splash and air coverage near the Town Hall, which often stops the second star.

Strengths

  • Anti-Giants/Healers: Layered compartments force frequent retargeting; springs between chokepoints bounce several Giants per push.
  • Anti-Balloons: Two centrally placed Air Defenses overlap the core; Wizard Towers are set where loons tend to clump after the first drop.
  • Anti-Hogs: Split defenses create uneven pathing; giant bombs and point defenses chain along likely hog routes through the 3/6/9 o’clock turns.
  • Hard CC lure: Clan Castle beside the Town Hall makes shallow snipes unreliable, burning attacker time and troops.
  • Storage tanking: Mid‑ring storages soak for core defenses, denying quick two‑star attempts.

Trap Placement Notes

  • Keep spring traps between the first and second layer at 5–7 o’clock and 2–4 o’clock where Giants naturally step through.
  • Place air bombs near the approach to each Air Defense, not directly on top of them, to trigger on loons before the drop.
  • Giant bombs work best on the 3 and 9 o’clock bends where hog paths converge.

Recommended Clan Castle

  • Defensive CC: 1 Dragon is the safest TH6 war option. If unavailable, mix Valkyrie + Archers or a Baby Dragon + Archers.

Builder Tips

  • Keep Archer Towers slightly offset so none can be sniped without triggering at least two defenses.
  • Don’t push storages to the edge for war—this base relies on them as mid‑ring tanks.
  • If your clan faces hog‑heavy opponents, shift a giant bomb one tile deeper to avoid early trigger by Giants.
