Strategy Explanation

This TH6 war layout runs a double-diamond core with compact compartments to punish pathing and deny easy three-stars. The Town Hall sits in the inner diamond alongside the Clan Castle, Mortars, and an Air Sweeper, making the core hard to crack with a single Wall Breaker drop. The two Air Defenses are split on opposite sides of the inner ring, forcing Balloon users to fly through splash and seeking traps from multiple angles. Two Wizard Towers anchor the lower half near the double Elixir storages, while the two Gold storages are stacked up in a small pocket toward the top tip of the diamond. Archer Towers and Cannons are staggered around the mid-ring and edges, creating overlapping coverage so Giants can’t lock onto one side without taking crossfire.

Outside buildings are spaced to slow funneling, and there are a few intentional gaps/bends at the diamond points to bait Wall Breakers and spring Giants. The result is a hybrid, anti-3 design that bleeds time and troops: attackers often secure a low-percent two-star or time out trying to route the core.

Strengths

  • Anti-air split: Air Defenses are separated and protected by layers; zapping one still leaves the other covering the Town Hall and core splash.
  • Core CC coverage: Central Clan Castle is tough to lure; a defensive Dragon or Baby Dragon + Balloon combo forces attackers to commit early.
  • Splash crossfire: Mortars and Wizard Towers cover each other. Giants and mass Barb/Archer pushes get shredded while stalling on walls.
  • Pathing traps: Diamond tips and narrow channels are ideal for Spring Traps and small bombs, popping Wall Breakers and flinging Giants.
  • Time control: Spread outer buildings and corner huts slow cleanup, protecting against late three-stars.

Recommended Clan Castle Troops

1 Dragon + 1 Balloon is best at TH6. It’s hard to lure and brutal versus Giants and Balloons. If you can’t get a Dragon, Baby Dragon + Archers works.

Trap Notes and Tweaks

  • Put Spring Traps at the lower and side diamond points where Giants naturally path after first breaks.
  • Hide Small Bombs just outside key walls at the tips to pop Wall Breakers.
  • Place Air Bombs on the side opposite your stronger Wizard Tower to catch early Balloons.

War Use and Scouting Tips

  • Swap a Cannon with an Archer Tower if your opponent favors Healers on a specific side.
  • If the enemy runs ZapLoon often, push one Air Defense a tile deeper and slide an Archer Tower outward to bait pathing.
  • Remind clanmates to keep corner huts; they add valuable seconds to deny triples.
