Strategy Explanation

This TH6 war base is built to deny the third star by splitting troops and forcing long pathing. The Town Hall sits slightly right of center inside a tight core, paired with the Clan Castle just to its left. The core is wrapped in multiple small compartments that slow Giants and Wall Breakers while keeping the splash defenses active for a long time. Two Mortars cover the entire middle from opposite sides, and the single Air Defense is tucked safely inside, not snipeable from any edge. Wizard Towers are set on separate flanks to punish swarms and cleanup troops.

Storages are pushed outward on the right and bottom edges in their own small pockets. In war, those tanky buildings act as time sinks and pull pathing away from the core while the inner defenses keep firing. Archer Towers and Cannons ring the outside in alternating fashion, preventing one-sided snipes and keeping air and ground DPS balanced around the base. Builder Huts on the outskirts add a late-time hurdle for attackers who don’t plan cleanup.

Strengths

  • Anti-3 star orientation: Offset Town Hall with many compartments makes it hard to funnel straight to the core.
  • Central splash: Both Mortars and the Wizard Towers create overlapping kill zones on entry angles, wiping Barb-Giant and BARCH pushes.
  • Balloon deterrence: The Air Defense is deep and well-covered; Archer Towers are spaced so Loons can’t chain easy drops.
  • Time pressure: Outside storages and corner huts stretch attacks to the full timer, often stopping late cleanup.
  • CC hard to lure: Clan Castle is inside two layers, forcing commitment to pull and kill troops.

Trap and Pathing Notes

  • Spring Traps between outer Cannons and Archer Towers on common Giant paths work best—especially on the lower and right entries.
  • Place Air Bombs one tile inside the perimeter near the Wizard Tower sides to catch early Loons or healers.
  • Hide the Giant Bomb on a predicted Wall Breaker turn or just inside a storage pocket to punish swarm entries.

Clan Castle and War Setup

  • CC troops: 1 Baby Dragon + Archers or a mix of 2 Wizards + Archers. Both are hard to lure and brutal versus Giants and BARCH.
  • Run a defensive Poison when available; it pairs perfectly with the tight compartments.
  • Spread corner huts and check for gaps so nothing is pullable for free percentages.

Upgrade Priorities

  1. Max the Air Defense and both Wizard Towers.
  2. Bring Mortars to max next for anti-swarm value.
  3. Finish Archer Towers, then Cannons, and keep walls climbing to slow pushes.
