TH18 War Base for Clash of Clans | Anti 3 Star Air Trap

Strategy Explanation
This TH18 war base is built around making the attacker work for every major building. The Town Hall sits on the upper side with heavy defenses close enough to punish a direct push, while the rest of the layout stretches value across the map. That matters a lot against Electro Dragons, Root Riders, air spam and hero dives because there is no simple straight line that gives the Town Hall, key defenses and back-end cleanup at the same time.
The wall layout creates narrow lanes through the middle, so troops tend to split or stall rather than roll cleanly through. The defensive spread also helps in Legend League where attackers often rely on quick funneling and a strong Warden ability. Here, if they use the ability early for the Town Hall side, the back half still has enough damage to finish weakened troops.
Strengths
- Good anti 3 star shape: the key defenses are not all packed into one easy spell zone.
- Strong anti air value: air defenses, sweepers, X-Bows and splash coverage are spread well enough to make Electro Dragon chains less efficient.
- Awkward funneling: the outer buildings are placed to pull troops sideways, especially from the bottom and right edge.
- War and CWL friendly: it forces attackers to plan the Town Hall entry instead of dropping a basic spam line.
Town Hall Side Pressure
The upper Town Hall area is the main bait point. A lot of attackers will want to start there because it feels safer for the 2 star. The problem is that this entry asks for serious investment. Heroes, spells, Warden ability or a siege machine are usually needed to secure it cleanly. If they under-invest, the Town Hall weapon, nearby splash and hero pressure can break the push before it reaches the core defenses.
Anti Electro Dragon Air Coverage
This is where the layout feels most useful as an anti air base on clash of clans. Buildings are not lined up in one easy chain path, and the air-targeting defenses are spread across several lanes. Electro Dragons can still take buildings, but they do not get free chain value through the whole base. Sweepers and high damage defenses also make early Warden timing tricky, which is exactly what you want against common Legend League air hits.
Ground Pathing and Hero Control
For ground armies, the base tries to make troops choose the wrong lane. The lower side has enough outside buildings to tempt a funnel, but the inner walls can pull Root Riders, heroes and support troops away from the highest value targets. This is not a clash of clans perfect base, because no TH18 layout is, but it does a good job of turning simple spam into a messy attack.
Best Use in War, CWL and Legend League
Use this as a TH18 War, Anti 3 Stars, Anti Everything style layout when you want attackers to spend time scouting. It fits CWL because it protects the triple more than it protects loot. It also works for Legend League if your defense log is full of Electro Dragons, air spam, and fast hero dives. Some players search this kind of layout with odd terms like war badr, clash of coc, coc of clans, of clans clash, clasher coc, or clash and clans, but the practical use is simple: make the attacker take a bad path.
Copy Layout Tips
If you use the copy layout option, check your traps after a few defenses. Move Seeking Air Mines toward the side where Electro Dragons enter most often, and keep Tornado Trap value near the Town Hall or core if blimps are common in your league. For site labels, this fits clash of clans bases, coc bases, bases in coc, base for coc, clash of clans building layout, clash of clans clash of and base on clash of clans searches. If you prefer a more terbuka, open-style layout, this one may feel more controlled, but that is exactly why it is reliable for war defense.
