Strategy Explanation

This TH18 coc base layout is built for Legend League defense with an anti 3 star mindset. The Town Hall sits high in the base rather than being handed out early, while the main defensive value is layered through the middle and lower half. That matters against spam attacks because the army has to keep moving through several damage areas instead of taking one clean line to the finish.

The layout uses a wide diamond shape with separated defensive islands, so attackers do not get simple value from one Rage, one Freeze, or one overgrowth spell. The core area holds heavy defenses close enough to punish troops that push inside, but not so tightly that a single spell covers everything. It is especially annoying for Root Rider, Electro Dragon, Dragon, and smash-style hits because the pathing can pull troops sideways into lower-value buildings while the main defenses keep firing.

Strengths

  • Good anti 3 star structure: the base does not rely on one trap or one defense; it forces attackers to clear several zones properly.
  • Strong Legend League value: the Town Hall area, core defenses, and outer buildings make quick spam triples less reliable.
  • Awkward pathing: troops entering from the top or sides can split around the base instead of moving straight through the strongest targets.
  • Air pressure is spread well: air defenses, sweepers, and major splash coverage are placed so air armies cannot remove everything at once.
  • Copy-friendly layout: players looking for a TH18 base layout with copy link can use it without needing major edits first.

Town Hall Side Pressure

The Town Hall is protected by nearby defenses and surrounding structures that make a direct snipe less comfortable. An attacker can still commit a Battle Blimp or a hero dive, but they usually need support spells or follow-up troops to finish the area cleanly. This is useful in Legend League because many players want fast, safe percentage before the main army moves in. Here, taking the Town Hall early does not automatically open the rest of the base.

Core Damage and Spell Value

The middle of the base carries the main punishment. Inferno-style damage, high-hitpoint defenses, hero pressure, and splash coverage all sit in a way that forces spell decisions. If the attacker freezes one threat, another defense continues working. If they rage through the first section too early, the army can stall before reaching the next layer of value.

This is one reason the layout works well as an anti everything TH18 base. It is not tuned only for air or only for ground. Instead, it tries to make every army spend more resources than planned before reaching the back half.

Anti-Spam Pathing

The outer ring is one of the most important parts of this design. Buildings are not lined up in a simple lane, so spam troops can drift. Root Riders and Titans may push inward, while supporting troops walk around the edges. Electro Dragons can get chains, but the spacing reduces easy chain value into the highest-value defenses.

For ground spam, the defensive islands and walls slow the push enough for back-end defenses to keep shooting. For air spam, the base shape makes it harder to keep Balloons, Dragons, or Electro Dragons grouped perfectly under Warden ability the whole way.

Best Use for This TH18 Base

This layout fits players who want a reliable Legend League defense and do not want a risky teaser base. It can also be used in regular trophy pushing or CWL if your goal is to make the triple difficult rather than simply protecting storages. Before using the copy layout option, make sure your traps and heroes are placed correctly, then watch two or three defensive replays. If most attacks keep entering from the same side, adjust seeking air mines, tornado trap, or skeleton traps to punish that path.

Use this base when you want attackers to work for every section of the map, not when you are trying to bait one very specific attack plan.
