Strategy Explanation

This TH18 coc base layout is built around denying the easy Town Hall grab that many Legend League attackers look for first. The Town Hall sits in the lower part of the base behind several layers of walls, with heavy defenses close enough to punish a direct push from 6 o’clock. The upper side carries a lot of defensive weight too, so attackers cannot simply ignore the top and send everything straight at the Town Hall without losing control of the raid.

The shape works well against air spam because the defenses are spread across the whole diamond-style base rather than giving Electro Dragons one clean line of chain value. The outer buildings also make funneling less comfortable. If the attacker starts too wide, troops can walk around the edge; if they start too narrow, they are forced into the heavier fire near the middle.

Strengths

  • Strong anti 2 star value: the Town Hall is not sitting on the edge, so a simple hero dive or small blimp plan has to commit real resources.
  • Good anti air spacing: air defenses, sweepers, X-Bows, Infernos, and other key defenses are not all stacked together, which helps against Electro Dragon chains.
  • Legend League friendly: the base is wide enough to burn time, but still keeps important defenses active through the middle of the attack.
  • Awkward pathing: the ring of defenses and storage buildings can pull Dragons, Balloons, and heroes away from the fastest route to the Town Hall.

Town Hall Reach and Anti 2 Star Plan

The main purpose of this layout is to make the second star expensive. The Town Hall area is low in the base, but it is not freely reachable. A push from 6 o’clock has to deal with outside trash, wall layers, and nearby defenses before the Town Hall goes down. That usually means the attacker must use heroes, a siege machine, or several spells just to secure the star.

Attacks from the top side can earn percentage quickly, but they still need a proper finish toward the Town Hall. This is where the layout gets value in Legend League: many spam hits reach high percentage but fail to finish the Town Hall cleanly when pathing breaks late.

Electro Dragon Pathing Control

This is a solid pick if you are seeing a lot of Electro Dragon attacks. The buildings are spaced in a way that limits long chain damage through the core. Electro Dragons prefer straight value, and this base makes them choose between floating around the outside or flying into stronger defenses without perfect support.

The best defensive moments usually happen when the attacker drops Electro Dragons across a broad line. Some units drift to side buildings while others move inward, splitting the army before Rage spells get full value. Air sweepers and spread air defenses add more pressure, especially when Balloons are sent too early or too late.

Core Defense Value

The middle of the layout protects the important damage dealers without making them all vulnerable to one Freeze spell. Scatter-style damage, Inferno coverage, and key point defenses are arranged so the attacker has to spend spells in multiple areas. That matters a lot at TH18, where a single overpowered entry can decide the whole raid.

Because the base has defensive value on both the upper and lower halves, attackers do not get an obvious low-risk side. If they attack for the Town Hall first, the back end can stay dangerous. If they attack the top first, the Town Hall becomes the late problem.

Air Trap and Spell Pressure

The layout gives good places for Seeking Air Mines and Red Air Bombs around the routes Electro Dragons, Balloons, and Dragon Riders are likely to take. Keep black mines near high-value air lanes rather than wasting them on isolated outside buildings. Red bombs are better near grouped air pathing, especially where attackers usually Rage through the middle.

For spell pressure, this base wants attackers to use Freeze early. If they spend Freezes on sweepers, Infernos, or high damage zones before reaching the Town Hall, the final push becomes much weaker.

Using the Copy Layout Option

If you want a TH18 Legend League base that focuses on anti 2 star defense and anti air control, this one is worth copying and testing in your own defense log. Use the copy layout option, then adjust traps based on your bracket. If you face mostly Electro Dragons, protect the middle air lanes. If you face more Queen Charge or Blimp attacks, move a few traps toward the most common entry side.

For Clan Castle troops, defensive combinations with Super Minions, Rocket Balloons, Headhunters, or Ice Golems can work well depending on your goal. In Legends, use whatever slows the attack and forces awkward spell timing rather than only chasing damage.
